I don’t know why but I really enjoyed watching the guy counting the men passing under the wire.

The young German focused on here had such a pleasant smile...so sad. but they were allowed to live and eat at least.

Interesting to see some of the GI's wearing the camo helmet covers, uncommon in this theater. And at least of few of the Wehrmacht troops definitely of Turkic origin.

Lots of them are probably turning themselves in with the amnesty leaflets dropped over German lines guaranteeing safe passage and prisoner of war rights bearing Ike's signature. They were designed to ease the German mindset of 'Ordnüng' by giving them an 'order' of safe surrender backed by Ike's signature instead of them thinking of it as unauthorized desertion. The American guards seem pretty chill and are probably offering cigarettes as a sort of icebreaker. All was well until some of them were transferred to Soviet captivity, the fear of which made many fight to the death.

Tutte le porcherie che sono successe a guerra finita contro i prigionieri Tedeschi, la responsabilità è tutta degli Usa e Inglesi.

I find this very sad, the Americans were treating them well, now the Soviets...

All of those MP's speaking to those prisoners in German . We forget how many German -Americans there are in the US . Those MP's families were recent enough arrivals that they still spoke enough ' Kitchen-German ' to get these POW's processed . Mostly vanished now .

I’ve never seen any real evidence of mistreatment of German PWs. Unlike the war in the Pacific, the European combatants looked very much the same as the Allies. Just men in different uniforms.

It's human nature that there was some, though, Giff Kucsma. Remember the Stanford Prison Experiment.

Os prisioneiros são separados de acordo com as suas parentes, ou seja, em grupos de soldados, em grupos de sargentos, em grupos de capitães, etc...
