In the old days (about 1990) Canada used the CRV 7 rocket in those pods. Nasty rocket made by Bristol, this thing was supersonic and had a slection of warheads. HE, etc. One of them was flechette, a warhead full of tiny little darts to use against personnel. It would make a cloud of little supersonic darts about 1 in long with red dye. Another one was anti-tank, 4 or 5 tungsten darts, about a foot and a half long and very dense. It was to use kinetic energy to kill tanks, just like the APDS (?) rounds tanks fire. One trial version had a penetrator warhead to use against hardened aircraft shelter - cold war stuff-. The practice warhead had no explosive, just a steel bar inside for weight. When we found them on the range, they were curled up like donoughts from the impact of hitting the grond. Rx went the way of the dodo with the advent of stand off weapons and LGBs. You had to get in within 2 km distance to use those rockets. Unthinkable nowadays. I think the Marine Apaches used the CRV 7 for a while, not usre what they call it. But it's the best rocket ever made. It would break the sound barrier soon after being fired and would race ahead of launching aircraft. We would hear the sonic crack almost at the same time the rocket would hit the target downrange. A couple of seconds later the explosions.

Look in your controls settings and you'll see a control called "Weapon release".
