When Henrik Danhage was around the age of 5, little did he know that his grandfather might have changed the course of his life with a single album.
Browsing through the family record collection, a young Danhage found a live KISS album - 1975’s Alive! - and grandpa let him keep it, and the bombastic leads of guitarist Ace Frehley on classic tracks like “Strutter” and “Rock and Roll All Nite” set this unassuming Swedish boy on a wild musical journey.
Joining Swedish progressive powerhouse Evergrey in 2001, Danhage contributed to that year’s In Search of Truth, which is generally regarded as one of the best progressive albums of all time, and has helped shape the band’s sound ever since, including 2014’s Hymns for the Broken through 2022’s A Heartless Portrait (The Orphean Treatment).
And to pay tribute to Danhage’s lasting impact on the metal world, he collaborated with Charvel on the limited-edition Henrik Danhage Signature Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 1, featuring a reliced finish, unique pickup configuration, dive-bomb certified Floyd Rose double-locking trem and ultimately playable neck.

I was so fortunate to get one of the first ones when they first came out. It’s been my go to guitar every single time. It’s dependable and on point with the best feel and sustain that goes on forever. Henrik is by far a modern day “Legendary Guitarist” with a extremely clear vision for his Empire of music. He’s paid his dues in the “shred shed” all these years with Evergrey, his solo work, Death Destruction and in all his generous efforts to lift up, contribute and mentor other musicians and artists… and all along the way he honed down this axe to the finest edge possible. This guitar is worth purchasing and grinding on… Henrik is worth your time listening to and following. This Signature Charvel guitar and Henrik where meant to meet, and we all are better for it.
Love that you guys brought it back. Henrik and Evergrey deserve all the love!

Just watched the Man in action tonight at Evergrey's gig in london and it was epic.. Henrik not only signed stuff for me afterwards, but allowed me to put that beast of a guitar on my shoulder and had a picture taken with him. Thank you Sir, you're an absolute legend🤘👍👏🤝

I know it's not a popular opinion, but I wish Charvel made cheaper versions of their guitars without the floyd rose. Ya know? One with and one without for a bit less $!? 🤷 Like they did with the cheaper Jake E Lee Pearl
The neck on my 2020 model warped/twisted on its own...and the warranty department is taking their time getting me a replacement neck (if they even will). NOT stoked. 😢
Keep an eye on the neck if you purchase any of the MX factory guitars. This has never happened to any of my other guitars.

You're probably looking at the first production run. These second production run seems to be in stock at several places.
The paint on your guitar is all damaged you need to send it back.

A Les Paul type toggle switch nearer to right hand would give both pickups on option, and be alot quicker to change.
