@jose medrano Having played against armada, I can assure you cheap tactics won't work at that caliber. He does abuse weaknesses but his gameplay is methodical art.

Armada at 4:39 Up-smash whiffed on purpose to bait out Hbox trying to get a rest punish, and the wall was very obvious to both players but maybe Hbox was desperate and wasn't thinking straight. so Armada DI'd left on the up throw to get the tech off the wall and rest punish. I honestly wouldn't put it past him.

I dont even think its the character. Armada can be just as good with any other character if he puts the work in. His mindset and work ethic is so good he could be make any character "insane". The way he approaches the game is just different than anyone else. If you think otherwise, his legacy speaks for itself.

I think that neither Mango nor Leffen is better than Armada. Even at a tournament in which Armada weren't to rely on Peach at all, I'd give him better odds than I'd give those other two. He's lost dittos to them, but the Fox ditto is very hot-and-cold and I think they'd be much more likely to lose to other players than Armada is.

I don't think Armada's Fox is underrated; it's more like, taken for granted. This could be said about Peach as well, since the Peach metagame didn't advance much and not many people picked up Peach even with Armada's example, which, as far as examples go, is probably the best possible one. Even though his style is meant to be replicable, people ironically are afraid to do it.

Armada is a really good blend of offensive and reactively defensive playstyles. you see how much respect loser leffen had for him, he's usually hella salty when he loses he wasn't there tho
