      Both mt410 1.0 and 2.0 have the same wheelbase. The only difference is the 1.0 had wide truggy arms, while the 2.0 has the same width as sct and buggy.
      In what way is the 2.0 not 1/8 scale? For a monster truck it's 1/10, but still the same as a 1/8 buggy as it's always been.
      1/10 the size of an elephant would still be massive. 1/10 of a human would be puny. Compare 1/10 of an elephant to 1/10 of a human and the human will still be smaller. The same way 1/1 elephant is that much larger than a 1/1 human.

    Im running 4s on the 12mm hexes. So far no issues. I'll be glad to report if I do run into problems over time. I dont slam the throttle from a stand still like some do and thats what shocks the drivetrain and strips wheel hexes 😅

  • @cheagle464
    @cheagle464 Před 6 měsíci +2

    Traxxas 8568 are 17mm with no grub screw and i had to grind them from 8mm thick to 4mm so the 8mm wheel nut had enough threads to get to the nylon. As long as the wheel nut stays tight the cross pins should stay put.
    I didn't have to search long to find these so there may be a better option i did not find.
    Also I'll probably go for the aluminum shock caps and washers under the pistons now that i know that could get to be an issue. And i added the center brace. I'm also needing to go back thru the build instructions for the option parts i feel I may use.

    Thanks for the review, it definitely addresses some things I mentioned in an earlier video. I am starting to recognize this is intended to be a smaller scale vehicle than the original. But I have seen others running on MX28's and they seem more appropriate, especially since this is supposed to be a stunt/monster truck. Cushier tires may also help with those broken shock pistons. ;D With SC tires, is there ANYTHING to distinguish this from the SCT? Wider arms probably. I'm trying to decide whether this is my next RC or if I should pick up the original MT410. I held off, despite the price drop, because I suspected the MT410 2.0 was coming. I'm going to wait for more videos. Someone will eventually try Badland 3.8's or Backflip LP's, or at least really send it with 2.8's on 4s. (Next video please?) YES, they should release an MT48!

    Try the Traxxas variable dampening pistons. Not many options for 13 mm shocks u can switch the direction u want the most dampening a drilled the holes a mm larger & belled the opening of the hole on the unvalvled hole they are perfect. It seems expensive to me within the competition it has. In Spain and the rest of Europe it exceeds €500, I have found it at €529 in Spain, in Germany with transport €519, Austria with transport €525. Add a Hobbywing electronics, servos and cheap radio station and you're at €750. For a very expensive Monster 1/10, my Hobao MTX 1/7 cost me the same and most of its alternatives are over €500, the most expensive being the Traxxas Maxx €650. I find it very expensive although exclusive and quality.

    Premium 1/10 MT for sure. Maybe a niche market but some folks do want that premium build in a more compact size. The Traxxas, Arrma, and TA options have a less refined more entry level feel in either regular 1/10 size or lets call it 1/10 XL for the 4S trucks. Tekno needs to revise those those shocks though. Pistons breaking on larger but perhaps not super extreme jumps isn't a good look for a premium truck especially if the entry level trucks can handle it!

Arrmas 6s line is going for $699-749 so they arent too far off. Obviously you arent accounting for the rest of what you need to buy, but if you budget buy the electronics, you can finish at around 850-900 and have a much better truck than anything Arrma can release.
