Thank you. You showed me what I wanted to hear. I needed a raw reverb less sample becoming very reverby. Perfect. Pitch down-doubler-more doublers- achieve this. No reverb used.

My favorite Morphagene video. The slow knob turns really let you hear the subtleties of what the module does.

I'm new to modular and I asked a buddy, "do I NOT like the Morphagene, or do I just not understand it?" He convinced me to keep it, gave me some pointers, and sent a link here. Super glad I'm sticking with it now. Thanks for the very clear breakdown. Over to part 2!

Watched both parts (in reverse!). Very helpful to me as I become familiar with the Morphagene. Thank you... your work is absolutely stunning!

Hi! When you record instruments into your Morphagene, do you need a module to boost the gain from line level to eurorack or can I record directly into the Morphagene at line level? Say for example, I want to record directly from my iPad directly into the Morphagene. Thanks! Love these MG vids btw

    •  Před 4 lety +2

Hi Matthew, I strongly suggest that you running a preamp/booster before running through the Morphagene. In my video of Morphagene Part 2, I was using the Valeton Dapper Acoustic Mini with my Sape because the internal gain is not quite strong. Have you tried your iPad running through Morphagene directly? Make sure you boost the internal gain to the loudest one (purple). Have a look at here: czcams.com/video/aCzyMrEmYWk/video.html

Baséput thank you! Oh yeah, your part 2 video was the one I was referring to. I don’t have the MG yet but I guess I’m just going to have to try it when I do get it. I’m just trying to plan a mini eurorack case around the MG before I buy the case. And I’ve read online both that it needs an input boost and also that it’ll work just fine without one. Also, pressing the ‘record + shift’ buttons to adjust the auto gain helped a lot.

Did you use effects on this? Reverb?
