Very interesting stream with great ideas about the endgame, I think you are completely right when you say that there's no more reason to do the pits and I think it will be great to add the boss mats drop in the pit to give players another way to get those mats cause at the moment it's quite a pain to get the required mats, especially the blood thing. Infernal hordes are fine I think as they are. Also a quality of life change i'd like to see in D4 is to be abble to assign the town you want to default when you portal.

Not every build can run t7+, so the pit is still a source of Neathiron for those players. Yes, they can just metabuild and play the best thing, but not everyone enjoys those play styles and want to be able to have fun and be competitive with the builds they enjoy. Being forced into an extremely narrow set of builds that you have to play to complete t7 is unhealthy for the game. IMHO.

Why dont you run tier 8? Much better drop rate?

The hordes mode gets so repetitive I much prefer running tier 100 + pits
