71 year old BTS Army here. Jungkook or JK for short is the main vocalist for the Global phenomenon BTS. His label announced the original track by JK as a subtle homage to MJ. This was his third Official solo release leading up to his album. None of JK's solo releases are Kpop. He is now an American Pop Phenomenon. All of his solo releases are all American productions and should not be considered Kpop for that reason. Even his dancers are famous American dancer/choreographers. Jungkook is the only Korean involved with his solo work. This song was written and produced by Grammy Award winning Producer of the Year Andrew Watt and a team of notable American/Canadian songwriters Cirkut, Jon Bellion and Ali Tamposi. It was produced by the Canadian producer/songwriter known as Cirkut. It was recorded at Watt's L.A. Studio and the Original MV was filmed at an abandoned building in Budapest, Hungary. This remix was filmed in L.A.
Andrew Watt has produced albums for Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, the Rolling Stones new album and other notables. The Canadian producer Cirkut also has impressive credits, producing for artists such as The Weeknd. They were also involved with his first official solo release "Seven" Feat Latto by JK and also his album "Golden". "Seven" broke a Spotify streaming record right out of the gate and was the fastest song in Spotify history to reach 100 million streams. It is about 1.3 billion now. There is also an explicit Performance video of "Seven". It was followed by another hit "3D" Feat Jack Harlow.

Yes it was an homage to MJ. Usher was his protege and JK loves Usher. He’s passing the baton to JK the way MJ once passed it to him. Love all BTS & their solo projects but even though my bias is RM, it’s undeniable that JK will become the biggest solo star. He has that magic dust. There’s a great behind the scenes of he & Usher rehearsing. Hopefully after the military we’ll get another collab. Usher loved this enough to put it on his new album as well (it’s a great album, he still has it).
The original song is the title track of JK's solo album, Golden. All BTS members have been releasing solo contents before enlisting in the military. Currently all 7 of them are in the military. Even they are in the military, they still release pre recorded contents for fans every 2-3 weeks...sometimes only days apart😅. That's how much they spoil their fans 😁.
Not only the dance move referencing MJ, the outfit also (refer to the original mv - choreography version) with that white tee, black pants, white socks and black shoes.
The 6 dancers are all well known dancers/choreographer who JK look up to since his teenage years.

This song is remix of the original song "Standing next to you" . The dance in "Standing next to you" is homage to MJ.
Jungkook released his solo debut album "Golden" in 2023. The whole album is all in English (JK is not fluent in English, he mainly sings in Korean). JK said he wanted to try different genre of music and wanted to challenge himself.
He also did a short mini concert on time square and only gave fans 30 minutes notice where he sang five of his songs from his album. You'll love it for sure. It's amazing! Thousands showed up at times square.
I highly recommend you to react to "Seven", "3D", "Closer to you" from his album Golden.

Despite the fact that Jungkook is only 26 years old, he is already a legend. He is wonderful! One of the best vocalists in the world!
Jungkook is the youngest member of the legendary group BTS. He is the main vocalist of the group. He made his debut with BTS in 2013. He was only 15 years old then. And he continues to be a member to this day. The composition of the BTS group has not changed since 2013. Now all 7 people are serving in the army. Before joining the military in 2023, Jungkook released his first solo album, "Golden". It includes 11 episodes and all of them are in English. Listen to this album, I think you will like it. There are videos for such songs from this album as “Seven” (feat. Latto), “Standing Next to You”, “Hate You”, “3D” (feat. Jack Harlow)- the song has a Remix with Justin Timberlake. Also listen to his solo songs such as: My Time, Euphoria, Still With You, Stay Alive( Prod. SUGA), TOO MUCH (The Kid LAROI, Jung Kook, Central Cee).

Believe it or not, JK also rapped in their earlier stuff, learning how from the first two members who were underground rappers/producers before starting BTS.
Jungkook is the youngest member in Bts the biggest group in the world. Bts is 3 rappers and 4 vocalist and all dance, the write and produced there music. Bts have 6 nr 1 songs at Billboard 100 and 6 nr 1 Albums at Billboard 200 and 12 Billboard awards. All Bts members are now serving there mandatory military service, in 2023 all members did solo songs or Albums. Jungkook did 3 solo songs Seven ft Latto( nr 1 at Billboard 100,200,Global and Spotify) 3 D ft Jack Harlow(did a remix whid Justin Timberlake on this song) Standing Next To You, he still wins awards his Album Golden also breaking records

I prefer the original version because Jungkook’s second verse is amazing and the general vibe of the song hits better to me. But it’s cool to have a collab with Usher
