NVIDIA Networking: Data Center Design Considerations

The purpose of this video is to equip you with the basic knowledge to understand the main data center requirements and how they can be fulfilled.
We’ll start with defining what is a network topology and what are the considerations when choosing the right topology for one’s needs.
Then we’ll present two design approaches - the hierarchical network design, that is considered the traditional design, and the leaf-spine used in modern data centers.
Later, we’ll compare layer 2 versus layer 3 designs and understand how their behavior and protocols impact network performance.
