    Just got back from LBL, what a nice trip. Didn't get to do much wheeling. My buddy had an appointment with one of his partners that he is an ambassador for and basically took most of the day. but was very nice meeting some really nice people. We went to Turkey bay and paid the $20 per vehicle and did the loop pretty much. We didn't hit any of the hard trails there. They are categorized differently than the rest of LBL. they use the diamond system. We really enjoyed ourselves and stayed on the beach there.
    The next morning was my last and we went and did some more exploring before I had to make the 8 hour trip home to West Virginia. I am definitely going to make a plan to go back. Love your videos, and how you capture the experience of overlanding.

    The search boat was actually a bow fishing set up. They are bowfishing for the invasive Asian carp that has found their way into the lakes.

    Are there any place to camp near water, I have a 4wd with pop up truck camper. I don't want to tare either up but also want to stay clear of the populated camp grounds.

  • @teamwoodruffgoes7076
    @teamwoodruffgoes7076 Před 3 lety +1

    We started using the Lifetime 55 cooler from Walmart. Seems to hold ice pretty well, we did a week in Michigan in October, only bought 3 small bags all week....probably could have done just 2 bags and been fine. This doesn't include icing up before we left home.

    • @CoddiwompleOverland
      @CoddiwompleOverland  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for the info. We ended up buying a refrigerator. However, your review of the Lifetime cooler couldn't have come at a better time as we were looking at those last week to put just behind the front seats for cold drinks.

    Try an Rtic cooler. They’re half the price of Yeti and hold I’ve for days. I tried the Omari trail from Walmart and it wasn’t bad but nothing compares to my Rtic. And that boat was probably bow fisherman. I live about 20 min from the North end of LBL and spend a lot of time there. They’re talking shutting it down in 2022. Which they’ve tried that occasionally since I was a kid and I’m in my 40’s and it’s still there but you never know. We take our Jeep there quite often. Thanks for the video. I’m always too busy driving to think to film any of it. Maybe we will see y’all someday on the trail

    • @CoddiwompleOverland
      @CoddiwompleOverland  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for all of the info. We ended up buying a fridge. It would be a shame if they shut it down. We will be back in that area the week of July 4th. Thanks for watching!

    I have been off roading since the 70's a trick that I just found out about cleaning your truck is on the way home stop by a truck stop there you'll find a truck wash and for around $20 and 20 min. of your time your jeep will be clean. The more mud the higher the price.

    What kind of gimbal do you have for the front facing view and how is it mounted? Very stable video.
    Back in Panama all we had was mud, rivers and creeks and stuff like that.
