This was a complete failure of the government to have inspectors monitor and inspect the road during the improvement phase. They would have seen the faults and nip it in the bud.
I love the new strategy that the PM expounded on and I understand the decision that was made to do phase 1 of the highway up to Yallahs and just improve the current road from Yallahs to Morant Bay.
In my opinion lack of compacting to road surface if there’s an existing retaining wall not up to date specifications you remove and start again were was the structural engineer
What about instituting a policy to weigh all trucks traversing our major thoroughfares. Some of these trucks are too heavy for even high quality roads, yet alone compromise roads like this.
