You should really just click the orange button with the white arrow on it, it shows all the climates goal and if you reach the rain/thunderstorm one it cleans the entire map of the wasteland tiles. Its extremely worth doing
For once blitz saves the world instead of destroying it with nukes like usual, glad to see him branching out :)

Definitely fill all of the rivers, that way you can get a large amount of leaves plus you get the edges of biomes.

Blitz..... You need to get the thunderstorms.... So you can clean the entire landscape up... Then also you have more room for stuff. Why you ignore the main objectives in top right?

what got me in pain is the fact that he didn't do ONE spot of polluted ocean water and I would like to see the ocean be entirely make the polluted ocean water to normal ocean water.
If you get the temperature and humidity right it rains and that cleans the map slowly
