My mom was married to a man who was a beautiful man inside and out!! He let satan have too much power (bit by bit) and he became abusive and a drunk and a cheater, so he left and she would not divorce him because God put them together! Anyways after the divorce (her 3rd, my dad was 2nd) I had not seen Kelly for 7-9 years and when I did, my skin actually crawled! He had become this ugly, fat, bald horrid looking foul man and he was the dest young man i had ever seen! I pray for his return to the fold because "it is worse for him who knows the truth and turns away, than for the one who never knew at all" 2 Peter 2:21
PRAY for your loved ones! Pray they learn to tear down their walls of pride, pain, resentment and whatever stronghold keeps them from the love of the Lord! My dest 2 kids are living in anger and sin and selfishness and so PAIN! They are adopted through the state and they were NOT babies so they have a hard life ahead w/o God's grace! I claim them bevause Joshua 24:15 "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!" I claim ALL my family!

Chonda is my favorite comedian and I almost got to see her once in Wichita but she had cancelled the tpur to care for herself. Still eould love to see her!! I had a wonderful/horrible childhood where both my parents were horrible and still are to me. They are both great parents to all their other kids but GOD has held me TIGHT so I have had LOVE! I have done wonderful things and married 14+ and counting and 4 children (baby passed)
And my husband/family know humor gets us through all the ugly and evil in this world and we KNOW where our future will be EASY and HEAVENLY! God Bless you Chonda!

I know this hurt I married my husband at 16 we had 3 kids in three years married 38 years he left me all of a sudden 1 morning. Broke my heart we had just started knowing who each other was. I will be said til I see him again
As a single mother. I understand the missing part. Life was not pleasant for my children, and it was all my fault. My children let me know at times what a horrible life they had. I cannot erase the passed. I do pay for it everyday. 21 years later widowed, lonely, and nothing .....

Melody Clark Calkins, my older son, Jeremy left for Great Lakes on Monday, November, 26,1995. It was like a death for me and my other son, Jason. Jeremy is now a Lt. Commander who is soon to be taking command of Naval Operations in Puerto Rico. He married a young lady he met during school after Basic Training. They have a son and a daughter and are committed Christians. I couldn’t be prouder of them. I was a single parent from the time my children were very small. I raised them on a teacher”s salary and kept going to school so funds and time were limited.
I do not ever respond to posts like this but I felt very strongly that I wanted to encourage you that your son will be alright! My son was enlisted for eight years and was accepted into the“Seaman to Admiral” program. He has taken advantage of educational opportunities afforded by the Navy. He now has his M.S. from the Naval Post Graduate School. I would give your son the same advice I gave mine. “Raise your hand every time a school is offered and work very hard.” And he has/is!
The only piece of advice he ignored was that I asked him to promise to marry a “Southern” Girl! Well, Shannon is from Southern New Jersey❣️❣️❣️ But, she likes grits and does collards better than I do. So we are keeping her❣️😍
I know this is lengthy but continue to be prayerful and supportive of your son and do not be hard on yourself. Love to you both from another proud Navy Mom💞

I never knew until recently that Chonda was sexually abused as a child by her father. I wonder if Chonda was ever able to forgive him, and if he ever got right with God.
