I am confused, how did you film all this and still not make it a movie? Maybe a title more spicy than Flying man and please don't sell to Marvel or DC
'The Flying Man' has a retro feel (especially since flying is apparently one of his many abilities; this feels slightly like Zack Snyder) that contrasts nicely with the realistic physics in your depiction of violence. It looks SO GOOD...only thing that sticks out to me is that all the world's governments would have been alerted by the end of his first exposé on the news and they'd have done everything in their power to contain this guy.

The Evil superman premise has been done more often than superman itself.
I feel like the Flying Man is the embodiment of vigilantism. A being that decided enough was enough and took matters into its own hands.
They seem to be a more restrained form of it. They, as far as we know, hasn't/isn't mowing down entire buildings full of people like the Punisher does.

Not really. Feels more like Light with the death note. He justifies the killing spree with making the world a better place when in reality he’s just a psychopath with god a complex. Not to say that’s flying man’s characterization. We don’t get enough to draw a definitive conclusion but I get the same vibe from Kira (the god people refer to Light as) as I do from looking at flying man

First time seeing this and I thought I was watching a movie
I love the idea of Superhero story which is told from perspective of your average person who see him or the criminals he hunts and little is actually reviled about the Superhero's nature and nothing about his identity is reviled. It adds a strong sense mystery, wonder, and foreboding of watching a demigod act on his own morality and not subject to any kind of authority, and no one can stop him.
I remember watching this seven years ago & I was stoked about seeing it then, WHY hasn't Hollywood or someone made this into a full-length big-budget movie??? It wasn't just the flying man aspect, these people act really well.
Hollywood is too busy regurgitating super hero remakes and Tom Cruise BS.Old boys club thinks the actor sells tickets. What makes this so good is the "unknown" fresh faces. Just like GOT and Breaking Bad, etc. More believable than seeing the same old Clooney club.
Because this is more of a underground concept.

It is so simple. The Flying Man heard what the protagonist was saying, that he wanted to quit, and was only doing this to get money for some family problem, and so he spared him. When he appears at the end, it is as a warning never to break the law again, because he'll be watching.

This definitely has a ton of potential, If i were running netflix id let this guy pick the movie he thinks would do best and then give him the money to make it, if it does well, then let him pick the next one etc. But netflix us run by some fools that think they are geniuses, so hard to predict what they would do.

It's such an awesome concept. A superhero film from the point of view of the petty criminals he's tormenting. It's like some kind of reverse slasher film. The hero is stalking the villains.

Your statement is sadly incorrect. A hero is someone who helps others for no greater purpose than they believe it’s the right thing to do but they do so within the law. A vigilante does the same but ignores the law. To put it in perspective Batman is a vigilante commissioner Gordon is a hero

I really do like this film, it asks the question other Super Hero filmes don't really take a time to look at. What would the effect of a Super Vigilante be on our society? No, not a superhero, a Vigilante, with superpowers, a super human force that takes the law into its own hands, that the law can't stop. How will people react, how will the world react. I think this film does a good job showing that, in direct and subtle ways.
That's why you never really see the 'hero' has anything human, as an idenity, because they are not the point, the effect of their existence is the whole point of the story.
at first i was thinking "thats exactly what the dark knight trilogy did" but to be fair, batman doesnt have superpowers, so its not quite the same.

In the "Brightburn" universe, this guy would be more like their version of Superman's General Zod. You know - the good guys in the comic book universe are the bad guys in the Brightburn one, so the bad guys in the comics are Brightburn's good guys.
This film was actually made years before Brightburn, but both properties are now owned by Sony Pictures.

This would've made a good cinematic movie 10 years ago but now all of these themes, well, the theme of a rogue vigilante with superpowers has been thoroughly covered. It's a cool short, don't get me wrong but the full length movie would have to have something amazing to make it stand out from the myriad of other superhero movies.

10 years later and I still watch this short film, almost creeped out over the concept. Feels almost like a "What if a slightly more insane Punisher got super powers". Terrifying! Still amazingly well made though.

This is an amazing production. The delivery (mood, music, lighting, camera shots, dynamics) and the actors, all strike a chord that shines unique.

If it remains mysterious, grim, vague and dark, almost like reading one of the original Robert E Howard Conan books or the Crow movie. In other words, if disney and other similarly untalented douchebags stay away from it. Then it would have great potential.

The series Death Note is pretty much the same story as this.
Too hard to make a feature-length movie about something like this. This works perfectly as a short. Maybe if this was a Twilight Zone episode you could expand the storyline a bit. Otherwise, 1.5 hours of this would really drag out.

Just Finished watching Hulu and Disney's Kdrama Moving and the last episode's Yellow Man, led me back here. This story still deserves a feature film Please. Checkout Moving. I feel the same storytelling Textures. There is a lot to wonder about Flying Man. Is he like the Hollow Man or is he dishing out deserved revenge like perhaps the punisher? . Absolutely still love this 7 years later for me.
