- An overview of how I transformed IKEA's Kura Kids Bed by adding a secret room, slide, pulley, and ball run.

Thanks to all the interest generated on Reddit and Imgur. To address some of the more common safety concerns:
Rope is taken down when son playing by himself.
The posts at bottom of slide have been sawed down and rounded since this video.
The electric socket is no more dangerous than any other in the house.
An adult can disassemble within seconds if he is stuck inside.
And regarding comments about house fires and secret rooms: The idea that kids die in fires when they hide in secret rooms because firefighters can't find them appears to be an urban legend. My internet search failed to find a single case of this ever happening.
(Feel free to post info contradicting this, but I will be unconvinced if it's of the variety "my neighbor's brother-in-law was once a firefighter and he said...")

Thanks for everyone's comments! After showing up on Reddit last week, this video has seen so much traffic, that I can no longer respond individually to questions. However, I posted a FAQ video that addresses the most common ones (e.g. is this your only CZcams video, why no reaction video, [x] doesn't look safe, are there instructions/parts list, what's up with Berenstain Bears - it's Berenstein, etc...)
+Eric Strong Nice altercations, It's probably said before but the rope and the electricity are a recipe for disaster. Kids could get strangled in the rope and accidently hang themselves. Electric wire within reach and kids in a secret place definitely is not a good combination either.

This is a seriously cool bed. I love the escape hatch and especially the ball run idea. Very clever. I've been looking at this bed for my 5yr old who has ASD and some other issues and he watched this with me and loved it!

This bed design is in a way perfect for me as an adult. I would change the slide for something else but ive been looking for a way to incorporate a blackout room into a tiny home because I suffer from migraines and this allows me to do that. Thank you for posting this.

Fantastic work. It looks awesome. As a nurse I have one concern. Please trim the posts at the bottom of the slide. Having them stick up is a recipe for injury either by catching on clothing or striking a body part.. I would hate to see you regretting this later after a serious injury. Thank you for the great ideas and for taking the time to share it with all of us.

Never tell the kid about the secret room and it'll blow him away some day. If it was even better hidden it might take him YEARS to find it, which would be sweet. He also might possibly think that you didn't know about it.
