    That's an NHL player dominating the AHL. Also lookin like a full grown man going against 3rd graders during the World Juniors lmao. Doing God's work out here Alex! The only video on the internet of Moritz Seider doing Moritz Seider things for a half an hour lol. Love it. Like holy shit no wonder he was getting an average of 26 minutes of ice time per game. I can't describe how excited i am for him to be a Red Wing for the duration of his career. Nice mix between Nick Lidstrom and Nik Kronwall i'm thinkin. I've said it hundreds of times, but what a pick by Stevie 👏👏👏. Everything about his game is exceptional - honestly the kid could play as a winger as an extremely defensively sound power-forward if he wanted to. Every NHL fan is going to know who Moritz Seider is next season. There's no way he isn't on the starting roster in the top 4 next season. There isn't 6 other dman on the roster that deserve a spot more than Mo does. He'll be quarterbacking the first PP unit most likely in his second year. I can't see him taking over Hronek's 1st PP duties in his first season, but i think he will definitely be QBing the second PP unit his first year.
    Edit: 19:24 - Are you f*cking kidding me?

      I'd be baffled if he wasn't playing for the wings full time. The reason I could see him not playing is if stevie doesn't want to burn up a year of his elc. The only reason he wouldn't want to burn up a year of his elc is if he really thinks we are going to suck again. I had the AHL pass all last year and loved watching this kid play because he controls the ice when he's out there. It's rare for a defensive defenseman to do that. I've been pumping his tires all year, he's got stickwork like Lidstrom and the IQ to shut down anything. He could step into the Wings lineup next year and be top 3 D-Man.
    That being said he is not good offensively. He doesn't force offensive plays and is too deferential to his teammates. How many 1A's did he have? Not many. He never took a slap shot. He's a blue chip prospect who we need to work into more of an all around player. We've got nothing but time. Score 10 goals in the AHL and then call him up. Ultimatum.

    Seider & Drysdale, our future top pairing?
    If Stutzle & Byfield get picked 2 & 3 in whichever order, will Drysdale be the BPA at 4? We still DESPERATELY need scoring too. If either Stutzle or Byfield fall, Stevie's gonna have a hard decision to make. I'd take Stutzle in a heartbeat if he's there. Raymond may have a higher ceiling than either of them.
    Back to Drysdale, he's pretty elite of a prospect himself & projects as No.1 dman, but will probably need a couple years of development. He's getting overshadowed in this draft by the deep forward crop.

      The only part that sucks about picking Drysdale is that we already have Seider and Hronek on our right side defense. I wish Drysdale was left handed. I say we take a high ceiling forward at 4

    I love seeing 18 year olds being aloud to immediately jump into the American League, its better than hockey than most European Pro hockey and it would be sooooo much better for the NA players if they're already too good for their Major Junior team. I'd rather see a player put up 30 points in 76 AHL games than 120 points in 68 Major Junior games. NHL teams should 100% be aloud to send 18, 19 and 20 year olds to the AHL instead of the the CHL team that owns their rights. Take someone like Quinton Byfield as a great example, 99% chance he wont be NHL ready in his Draft +1 year, but he will gain almost NOTHING from playing another year in the OHL

    Gonna be a hell of a player, only complaint is his acceleration but at 6’4 that’s forgivable hopefully gets a 9 game stint next season

    • @barneyblue7355
      @barneyblue7355 Před 4 lety +2

      His acceleration is already good for 6’4, he’s only 18, as he gets stronger his acceleration will only improve

    • @AS8Cend
      @AS8Cend Před 3 lety

      He'll make the team. I don't see how he doesn't with how bad we suck & the D-corps basically being non-existent.

      AS8Cend Could be like a morale thing. Like everyone knows we’re not gonna be very good for a couple of years so they keep him in the AHL to develop and gain confidence.

      I say this as somebody who has watched over 30 games of the guy this year: his acceleration is not an issue. He can seriously burn through the neutral zone on the rush. Excellent skater for a guy as big as he is.
