460k is very steep for a polo. As good-looking and as enticing as it is, I wouldn't be comfortable with spending 10-15k per month on a polo . I'd save up and get something else or buy as used previous gen TSI

You can find a low mileage manual at 345k. The DSG price is just nuts as it comes across as intentionally inflated. Which is ridiculous because the car is made in South Africa 😢

My point is that for the same amount a polo is still worth the price relative to the cars in the same range, a polo has grown and matured, it no longer a cheap car but a mid market car
I think VW are trying to break into the upper middle class segment

The polo is very fuel efficient, I was once doing 90 km/h on a stretch of about 150 km or so on a freeway, I was averaging UNDER 4l/100km with one passenger and our luggage. It means if I kept going I could get well over a 1000km on one tank, but then I decided I wanna quickly get to where I'm going and it went up to 4.9l/100km which is also really good. In town it's about 5.6l/100km.
But the price you pay is too much, even with paying less for fuel it's still too much. You can get a nice 3 year old 318i with about 60 000 km for that price. The polo is a small car and just not worth that high price (I bought mine 2nd hand and am happy with it)

Happy New year Nick, lets check competition 😉 ridiculously expensive Rio (Discontinued) which i feel it looks better. We are looking at R330k base R390k top spec. I think Kia could have utilized this Rio by dropping prices to R330K t/s(My Choice). Then the I20 which i Hate its Interior "Dash" on the BC3 model i would go with GB model on used car market and get it for R255K with 22K kilos. Then we have RENAULT CLIO V 1.0L TURBO INTENS for R368k top spec 😢 my second personal option. I mean Nick VW has overpriced this Polo R460K with that money i can get 2024 Haval H6 Premium Auto for R410k or Mahindra XUV 700 AX5 Auto for R430K or 2024 Chery Tiggo 7 pro Executive for R450K. I can still get 2022 Audi A3 Sportback 35TFSI 25k kilos for R460k 😢 or 2021 Golf 7 Comfortline Auto with 35K kilos for R458k. I can go on till Jesus comes. My point is Polo TSI is madly overpriced 😢😢😢 by the way i hate that strip light on the grill 😢. And i work at one of the big VW dealships in Pta i thought i should put it out there 😂😂😂😂
