    Nice Content. I am your new subscriber. After you apply water to the canvas how many hours you need to wait when you apply the primer. Thank you

      Then you must have Atention Deficit Disorder. That's just ridiculous. Could you do us a favor? Show us your videos so we can see how to make one correctly. I'm so tired of people who don't contribute anything to anyone but criticism.

      @@BlisteredBubble I do have cognitive problems due to neuromuscular disease. Did not mean as a such a strong criticism. But I find that generally music is put on the background of these videos so I cannot concentrate. Still it might have been a bit harsh- was really tired that day. However- I did get 7 likes- so perhaps I am not the only one. I just do not think it adds anything to instruction videos generally. I am very grateful for free videos and should not have said anything.

      @Tammy Lain Actually, I apologize for my comment. I was actually too harsh with what I said. I actually was only diagnosed with a neurological dystrophy, which causes cognitive disfunction and physical issues also.
      I guess the reason I jumped on you was I had just watched another content creators video where I saw someone just bashing the person over how they edited their video. No, thank you for taking the time to make it for everyone, just criticism.
      Everyone definitely does have the right to constructive criticism. It's just that the last person was very rude. I guess I took it out on you. I am sorry about your health issues. I wish you better health in your days ahead.

      @@BlisteredBubble Thank you. Wow- we have some of the same issues. Not that you have to say it here- bur I wonder what you have, and how you cope. I live in Denmark where rare disease is not widely known. Took 30 years to get a diagnosis. I hope you have all the help you need. And thank you for the kind reply. :-)

      @Tammy Lain I have a form of Parkinsons unfortunately. It is fairly new to me. I have been dealing with effects from it for a few years now. But they had gone undiagnosed for a while. Only now did they catch it. Things are becoming a bit more difficult at increasing frequency. I remain positive and try to do as much as I can to keep functioning. I am sorry it took 30 years for you to receive a diagnosis. I live in the States, and they missed it for a few years also. Rare diseases are sometimes hard to pinpoint as they can mimic so many other issues, making diagnosis elusive. I sincerely wish you the best. I would love to visit Denmark someday. I hear it is beautiful.

    I disagree about the preparation process for pre-primed canvases. Less expensive pre-primed canvases can be quite well built, and overall _can sometimes_ represent a useful saving. However, their primings can be so weak and cheap that they are a danger to the finished work, and there is little point simply putting a decent primer over a poor one - the base layer is still weak. _Remove_ the worst of the suspect priming by careful sanding, and then replace with a proper primer.
    Sorry, but painting on primer in one direction only is also a mistake; it should be brushed out in star shapes (largish flat brush) while constantly varying the angle of the strokes. Your method can only encourage visible lines on the final surface, and it does not guarantee that all sides of the bumps making up the canvas weave are all primed to the same degree.
    Oh dear! - you will not be able to see all the fibres and unwanted bumps in the priming layers - so you sand _the whole thing_ lightly. Be sure to remove any dust with a damp cloth after sanding.

    my canvas puckered

      @kryssygee4814 Před 2 lety +2

      Try this - acrylic paintings : Spray (with water) the underside of puckered area of canvas and let it dry. Gently using a blow dryer on warm speeds up the process. 🙂
      Works for a lot of us ! Hope it works for you! (Also good for canvas that may have a bulge after being poorly stored.) 🫢
