As a sports medicine student, I can tell you that the majority of these do absolutely nothing. For example, if you want to stabilize an arm, you need to cover the shoulder joint. Taping yourself incorrectly or when it’s not needed (spatting) can lead to injury and is a major waste of time and money. If anyone else has more knowledge, or I have made a mistake, please comment!
