I remember BEGGING my mom for nearly 6 months to buy me an Ngage... Never have i been more glad that she bought me a real phone and a new gameboy advance instead!
Also, the worst console i ever played was the Intec Interact. It had the flimsiest controller ever, the games were nearly unplayable and there were only a few games released for it. It overheated constantly, and the metric ton of addons for the system served little purpose and only made the already deeply terrible games even less playable...

I disgree with the N-gage part, agreed that N-gage was a bit shit, yet later Nokia released updated version N-gage QD, which was much better, along with easy removal facility of the memory card slot, which doesn't require to remove the battery. The phone was also performing well, with no issues in dialing / answering.
I had used the device for almost 3 years, and was more than satisfied with it's performance, even the games were awesome in it. Most important, it featured Bluetooth multiplayer on a portable device, back in 2006, which was great.

Realize that some of these consoles have names as if they're trying to be cool. Ngage, Rzone.... Well we have the Xbox so meh, I guess it doesn't really matter.

I mean, "XBOX" is better than It's original name based on it's Windows gaming API technology. "DirectX Box", would have just been awkward.

Highretrogamelord if Apple isn't at least 6 of the 10 on the list, then I refuse to believe it. The Macintosh worshippers shall know, that I am very serious when I say this, Apple computers and Apple phones suck. With maybe the exception of the Apple II.
I'm not all too familiar with Apple products. I got an Apple Macbook from my time when I did my apprenticeship as a foreign language correspondence clerk, but I don't use it unless my PC is broken. I have made gameplay videos of Apple II games and it certainly has the best educational games from any home computer plus some really great RPGs...that's all I can say to the Apple II.

Used to have the Nokia N-Gage because it looked cool at the time, i even bought the QD version cause i was that obsessed with the phone. I just damn knew it was a video game console, didn't even know it had a card slot for the games!

I know... James Rolfe proved that the R-zone is EASILY the worst. Tiger electronic in "headache red" half an inch from one eye... I'd rather play virtual boy for 3 hours straight than even hold an R-zone
How the fuck R-Zone is better than Atari 5200? The 5200 at least didn't give you headaches and the games were good arcade ports

I'll never forget when a buddy of mine from Thailand got real surprised when I ripped on the NGage, because apparently it was really popular in his country to the point pretty much everyone had one.
Virtual Boy was Nintendo's first and only failed console.

The hardware for the 5200 was based on that of the Atari 400/800/XL/XE line of computers, so how can that be a failure? Only the switch box, the size of the console and the controllers sucked. Get over it, haters.

I remember these though with the Ouya I could use the case to make it a small steam machine to run games and such from the Steam Store or from the Disc you can buy from EB Games (AKA Game Stop for USA and such) though I guess there is the Aleinware Steam machine anyway

I hate the CD-I. The games are just as plain bad as you see. The graphics were drawn in a very poor version of MS Paint ( I'm of course talking about the cutscenes ).

Regarding #1: Hotel Mario and the three Zelda games "live in infamy" because of the cutscenes. Aside from those, the games actually range from okay to pretty decent.

Wii is awesome
The Wii was AMAZING despite horrible third party games by Data Design Interactive. We had Mario Galaxy 2, and many more amazing games. The Wii was a casual gaming masterpiece.
The Wii is not that great, but I give it credit for its action-packed games and getting people fit.
What about the commodore 64 GS that was a C64 but without the keyboard, plus the bundled game, terminator 2 was unplayable as you had to press any key to get past the title screen.

The Virtual Boy was the nightmarish hell of a game console that traumatized me for life! It is eerily on display at Nintendo NY (Nintendo World). Also, my family had the Action Max (Man I feel so old).

I had the N-Gage QD and I remember I loved it! There was one strategic turn base game that was amazing. I was a kid, easily impressed I guess, but it wasn't that bad (much better than the original version N-Gage)

What was worse for the Gizmondo was that the that the System itself was made from a really bad polymer and after a number of years they started to actually melt into a pile of gooey plastic and microchips. And the CDi had battery issues that required you to crack open that thing to attempt a repair. Both consols deserved to be on this list.
The R-Zone is a perfect example of a really good idea that was simply ahead of its time. By that I mean the available hardware simply wasn't good enough to make the concept work. If you did it today you'd be able to use full colour graphics and a much faster frame rate plus of course the headset wouldn't be anywhere near as bulky. VR is something we're all going to use eventually, it's just a matter of waiting for the tech to become affordable to the average user. Like laser disc which eventually led to DVD and blu-ray.
R-Zone is arguably the better candidate for being called the predecessor to the modern VR gaming than Virtual Boy, simply because the R-Zone was ACTUALLY portable. :P

I still have my Nokia N-gage and it still works. The games are outdated but I still take it out the relic room and play with it. Long bus rides home from college were not so bad because of it.
