Which fictional Hermitcraft storyline is by far your favorite? And do you prefer Hermitcraft's fictional content, or their more natural content?
Natural
Natural like the stories just seem so stupid to me, like it’s good but it’s just weird in Minecraft
While i prefer the natural, going overboard with scripted lore isnt gonna hurt
I've heard a few people theorize that Mumbot is an evolved version of Mumbo Cactoni and his ilk. That they also count as alternate mumbots, certainly it's a continuation of a trend where dubiously alive things have Mumbo's face. The key is that Mumbot was created during the series where Grian absorbed part of Mumbo's soul. So the Mumbots are fuelled by soul energy.
Everyone else is saying natural, but I think the lore stuff is really cool, so I’d say that.
It's kinda insane how grian joining hermitcraft caused so much to change. His chaos, build skill, and his ability to work well with pretty much any hermit has led to him creating and participating in so many weird and neat storylines (mumbo for mayor, the time machine, the rift, etc.)
Doc and Ren were for sure the main characters of season 8. Love those guys.
one thing I think you missed is that the Hermatrix seems to be operated by a Grumbot
Yeah I missed that, but I have a feeling that Grumbot wasn’t created by Grian nor Mumbo, kinda making it a sister Grumbot?
@@SodioYT actually, that seems to be the S7 grumbot's face there. I think this is the case because 1: It has the distinct happy face on it and 2: the proportions match up. However, the distinct green on the banners are missing. Green text is typically used as code in media, so I propose that goatman and renbob scrapped Grumbot for it's computing power for the hermatrix, and that The Nothing was part of Grumbot's self-defense mechanisms that triggered due to him being scrapped

I agree that the rift is going to come back. Something weird is going on and I think there might be a "Landscaping Your Mind: Chapter 4 (or 5? I'm not sure witch one) and that may help explain

I love this wholr storyline and the implications, because it actually ties perfectly well with the AU that I'm making for my DreamSMP fanfic, the basics for my version is that there are 6 plains of reality, the overworld, the nether, the end, the afterlife, the in between and the other side, the most interesting ones would be the overworld, the in between and the other side, the in between is where most time travelers go, while the other side is where dimension hoppers go, the other side is pretty complex and doesn't exactly make sense if nor explained in detail, but to get to it, you either must ve a dimension hopper, or have a gateway, ones like the rift, once in the other side, you can basically hope into alternative universes and dimensions, such as hopping from hermitcraft to empires SMP and from them to even the dream SMP, the other side is also the homeland of formless demonic creatures called "dreamons" and they thrive and griw stronger the more choas and blood shed and negativity there is, no matter how it's obtained, i can easily say that the entity from HC S9 was a wayward dreamon from the other side that came through the rift that was essentially a gateway to and from it, and itvwould actually make a lot of sense without clashing with the storyline of HC, my Fanfic, the majority of the dreamSMP and Minecraft lore as well! It's pretty darn cool!

Also btw you say that grian and the other hippies steal a Time Machine but you didn’t mention that they stole it back because grian built it, which doesn’t change much lol I just wanted to say that XD

Interestingly at the end of Ren and Doc's S8 finale the amethyst and weeping vines can be seen at the end of the Hermitheus, I wonder if it could be the trojan discussed just before in the cinematic? It's at 18:22 in Doc's video and 21:06 in Ren's video.
Perhaps they were thinking of continuing the storyline into Season 9 but ditched the idea because it doesn't seem to be on the Hermitheus in Ren's S9 Gigacorp cinematics.
