Life Esidimeni Tragedy | It's been such an emotional rollercoaster: Cassey Chambers

The National Health Department says it is studying the findings of the Life Esidimeni inquest. This after Judge Mmonoa Teffo handed down judgment following the Inquiry into the deaths of 144 mental health patients in 2016. The inquest was established in 2021 to investigate who should be held responsible. Judge Teffo found that former Gauteng Health MEC Qedhani Mahlangu and former Gauteng Mental Health Head, Dr Makgabo Manamela, should be held responsible for some of the deaths.
