I kept thinking of you Kathleen Edwards today I have no idea why except I just kept hearing your voice your music in my mind and it’s been years since I’ve listened to your music for many reasons but not because I don’t love your music. It’s a mood your music has a mood and often it’s a sad mood. But today December December 1, 2022 I really was thinking about you and your music. And I’m so glad that I heard the story it makes me love who you are and your music even more. You have very beautiful songs you have very sad songs. I hope to hear more from you than your sadness but I appreciate your authenticity and your genuineness even more after hearing us interview. You are a true artist and you are talented and gorgeous

One of the best shows Ive ever seen was Kathleen Edwards at the Bronson center in Ottawa.. Valentine"s day 2009. She is amazing.. Personally I think she has written many hits.. People just havent heard them yet,

I love Kathleen! She is such an amazing musician, one of the most gifted singer-songwriters I was lucky enough to listen to and see in concert. You can hear the pain in her voice and see it on her face. That total honesty is brutal, but I love her even more for it!
I am soo glad she is back now, after the dark period she went through! But those were not lost years. Because they brought her back to us!

I'm a songwriter too, not famous at all.... but I come to this from the perspective of someone who listens to songs the way a mechanic listens to an engine. She is a songwriter's songwriter. If allowed ten CD's on a desert island two or three of them would be hers. Emotional honesty and self awareness, subversive humor, tasty guitar licks, groovy haunting melodies. It's all there.
I also made the mistake of falling in love with the hot girl singer in my band. Got a few pretty good songs out of it. It doesn't always end badly though, and we are still together and making music together 17 years on.
What an incredible woman.
"You can't ask for flowers. Someone has to want to give em' to you."
That is the message. "Asking for flowers is like asking you to be nice..."

Kathleen says: " I`ve never had a hit song". I understand what that means from an economic standpoint. But from a "fan" standpoint, I feel that all of Kathleen`s songs are hits. Her darker, moodier tunes resonate emotionally, her humourous stuff is light-hearted and her uptempo songs kick ass. I loved her work before I watched this clip. I love it even more now.
