Each week I'll be doing 2-3 runs.
The first run in each livestream/vod/youtube video will be a Budget Bofa run - this is the in-depth big explanation run with all the basic tools and tips and tricks each time.
The second run of the day may be bofa/tbow/speedrun style and each week I'll switch it up to explore a different aspect of the Inferno - or to show a different CA task.
The Bofa budget setup is the lowest gear I'd recommend, although it's certainly possible to do Inferno with much more budget setups.

Amethyst or Dragon darts recommended.
95 range, 95 mage, 80 defence, 92 prayer recommended, higher is better.
Some downgrades:
Zaryte vambraces to Barrows gloves
Ancestral top to Ahrims top or Mystic top
Kodai to Ancient staff or Ancient sceptre
Ring of the gods (i) to Ring of suffering (i)
Masori to d'hide
5 brews as a minimum is good if you want more slots for restores or other things.
Magic legs are NOT considered valuable in any way.
Ring of the Gods (i) in combination with Devout Boots give essentially infinite prayer with minimal flicking, negating the use for any Lightbearer or Eldritch, which I consider to be heavy noob traps that only detriment first-capers. Crystal armor in general has amazing prayer bonus and range defence, while Masori has all round very good defence and Tbow makes the magers rapid.
These runs have a focus on good solves, melee dig preparation, and simple prayer flicking solutions. The max gear/speedrun has more emphasis on lossless 1 tick flicking as it's very simple and I expect anyone in that gear to be capable already or capable of learning it fast.
The plugin to hide dead NPC's and prevent misclicks is "Entity Hider", mark "Hide Dead NPC's" in the Plugin. There are not many other useful plugins for Inferno, Tile Markers can be good, but don't overuse them!
Tons of players have had great success in the following days trying to imitate this style and while there will always be a learning curve to the content, putting some time in to learn the likes of 1 tick alternation at the very least will add a powerful tool to help you on your road to first cape.

My PB was 54 i was cheesing eldritch and justiciar but gave this setup a try and on my 3rd go I got to Zuk and now I know I can do it! Thank you!

Thanks to your videos, I'm doing well with almost everything in Inferno except for blobs and prayer alternation - I fully *understand* how blobs work but I just suck at flicking them at a long range whilst dealing with other stuff. I'll get one blob spawn far away on the west and then have stuff trapped on the south and east of the pillar and I swear the bats and blobs I get are substance abusing or something, they always hit me for like 15-20.
As for prayer alternation I guess I just need practice, I've never done it before the inferno. I feel like once in a while the game just jams up my prayer and they get scuffed up but it's more than likely just a skill issue.
The past few days have just been, do an inferno attempt, die on wave 30-ish, watch your video whilst I de-tilt, go back in and repeat. My record so far has been 48, so I'm not even at the ""hard"" waves yet.

Watched your videos before i ever even tried inferno. On the 3rd sttempt i made it to zuk (healers). I got to greedy with dps and died to a zuk hit. I have sent another 5 attempts after, 4 of them which I made it to Zuk. I keep dying to zuk hits. Silly mistakes, coild be nerves but your videos have helped me learn it so fast, i fly through the waves and triple jad. Cape soon! Thank you for the guides!

I’m proud I got to wave 53 on my 3rd attempt with lucky spawns and taking a lot of time between waves to look at solves, and now I’m hitting high 50s every time without needing to think too much after 13 attempts, but I haven’t managed to break 60 yet just 58. And I know after 60 it’s way harder! Getting to Zuk once in three attempts is believable if you’re lucky and have help coaching but I doubt anyone can get to Zuk every time straight off the bat but also fail to kill him. Anyways good luck on your cape if you ain’t got it yet dude, hopefully not long for myself

Some of these little things like trapping a monster by stepping to the corner , melee safespots , dragging the mager are so underrated tips wise. I now started yesterday and made it to wave 40 so fingers crossed ill be able to reach further

@@aceyyyy937 try to think of it like how you can section off the monsters to kill them without taking huge damage , also wave 48 is really good, for your first set of attempts use all your supplies learning the waves so that when you learn them youd be able to do them without using a lot of supplies but when learning make sure and use em! You can do it

The amount of times you get hit from blobs off prayer and don’t take any damage is astonishing. Such lucky rng I always get smacked

Was consistently making it to the 50s, highest wave 60, and it's felt downhill from there. I'm too smooth brained for this content
there's a lot of ups and downs with inferno due to the inherent spawn rng and damage taken rng.

very normal experience, you have to push through to realise gains on the forward steps, dont let the setbacks define your progress.
@@aatykon I appreciate that brother. I’ve been falling asleep with your inferno videos on for the last 2 weeks and have them playing anytime I’m on. Made it to the 50s again tonight and it felt so much smoother than all other previous attempts. Really fine tuning in on the 1 tick blob flicking and corner safe spots. The phantom barrage spots for blobs you showed are MASSIVE. First attempt making it into the 50s without using a brew dose. Slowly but surely I’m getting there. Thank you so much for your videos, I wouldn’t have been able to make it this far without them ❤️. Can’t wait to be in the inferno club ✊🏻
@@aatykon I had to come back to this before bed just to say: attempt 19, finally saw triples!!! I lost my pillar on double ranger Mager and tanked a ranger while killing the mager off, so my supplies were burnt. Getting closer to seeing the big man ✊🏻
What’s better to upgrade Kodai staff or vambraces?
I have a pb of 72 min without trying to speed run at all per say, um how much harder is s65 or even s60 for that matter, because pet and s60 are my goals as of right now
until ~s55, all you need to do is stay potted, don't hide too much, use rigour, click boss.
The methods outlined in fcf will carry you to s55 assuming you do those things, ofc you can learn some tricks and better solves/flicks but really a s55 is very free if you're not wasting time.
Anything below s55 may start to require scythe/chins/better tactics/faster solves etc, but even then people have s50 casual on-ancient runs.
Made it to zuk to times back to back after almost a month 🙏 suddenly it just ticked

What would the lowest recommended gear be sir Aaty? I don't currently have a tbow which is a bit unfortunate or the elysian but everything else is affordable
check the description for lowest gear/stats, you can definitely learn/try it with lower but it's certainly best to wait until you have the likes of bofa + decent stats nowadays
@@aatykon i've got the bowfa / crys armour set, Can also grab the kodai and what not just can't afford an ely / tbow at the moment unfortunately, 99hp, range, def, magic / maxed cmb
Opinions on bringing TSOTD instead of Kodai? Isnt it basically the same thing with 4 rune pouch?
if it can autocast its probably not much different. iirc no-orb nightmare staff is v good and new ancient staff with 109 overhealing might also be very good options
So bring an empty staff over Eldritch... 🙄🤡
@@GarrettBlackmon correct, eldritch is a crutch and if you're requiring a kodai downgrade in the first place base nightmare staff is considered second best.
@@GarrettBlackmon Eldritch is a good way to waste spec when you could be saving that for bp specs to heal during clutch situations where you need a dps solve.

I don't understand flicking between the blobs and ranger. I do it at the exact same frequency as he does in the video but i get hit nonstop.
It depends the location of ranger/blob, front/back will determine which NPC sees you first. Xzact has a guide that explains it. I still haven't locked it in but it will help to understand much better after watching that. Also if you run out and pray vs the attacks then run across to the opposite side of pillar it sets up a 2 tick flick which is easier than the 1 tick flick. At least I think that's the concept of run across.

i dont typically recommend people looking at waves because it distracts and gives people nerves during the run - some people say it helps then identify whats on a wave but there's both a plugin they can use or they can just look at the current wave and add +1 bat.
knowing the wave also doesnt change how you'd end up solving it, so all in all i just consider it a detriment or a nerve wracker for first capers
@@aatykon Great points, but when I’m referencing from a guide I like to see a potential spawn from a wave and see how they (or you for the instance) solve it. It also helps me personally so I can skip through the earlier waves and get to the waves that I typically struggle with
@@joshuajohansson1308 fair enough although i wouldnt consider using exact waves to reference other exact waves - solve patterns and tricks can be used from early waves in late waves and vice versa - its just stacking one trick with another such as how to corner trap a melee with blob alternation and such, but i do get it

im maxed for these videos of course, but with the recommended stats it won't be a massive difference in how runs go, a lot of the power is in the recommended gear
37:19 wtf? If I die doing the Zuk simulator, what makes you think I'll magically be able to do Zuk?
I mean, I haven't got my cape yet, but I can't see how it's not worth practising on the simulator. It may be "so easy to get to Zuk nowadays" but it still takes over an hour each time.
A 2d representation of the fight doesn't translate well imo. Watching people do zuk fight is infinitely more valuable, and thinking through actions and plans while doing that does really help.
People who end up caping after doing some zuk sim practice might say it helps, but a bias sample size of 1 on a successful attempt just doesn't mean anything.
Tldr playing the game is the best way to learn the game - vicariously included
@@aatykon It's like playing with the camera directly overhead. You almost forget it's 2d after a few attempts. Or maybe that's just the way my brain works. The only thing that doesn't translate is the animations for the attacks of Zuk and Jad, and for that we have VODs like this one. Absolutely, watching people is valuable, but so is making the mistakes for yourself. For example, I now know you can't tbow the Mager from the NE safespot, and I know exactly how the "deadzone" work. You did say those things in your vids, but there's nothing like being dragged out unexpectedly to really cement that lesson. And it took me 6 minutes to learn as opposed to 6 hours.
To be honest, I only looked up the simulator yesterday once I heard you mention it in this video. I did 20 attempts before I got a kill in the simulator, and after another 20 attempts, I get it maybe 50% of the time. So thanks for mentioning its existence in your vids at least, but I would suggest you take a neutral position and say some people find it beneficial, rather than condemning it outright.
@@jamesrockybullin5250 it's a strange one because a lot of the time when people find things beneficial there's no comparison point, or there's a sample size of one, or some heavy bias because it worked for them.
I'll definitely change how I talk about it to offer the benefits about getting a feel for shield mechanics and drag ranges but I'm still heavily unconvinced watching a few zuks wouldn't have a more beneficial effect
Ultimately not knowing mager is in tbow range is a thing that most guides or zuk walkthroughs should mention and talk about at least briefly - same as how left side healer safespot will also drag you out while piping, or that jad is attackable from both sides safespots.
I used the fight simulator and it was immensely helpful for my nerves and muscle memory at Zuk the first time i got to him. I can't beat him consistently on the simulator which is my issue but i would recommend if only for the muscle memory and nerves
Imma be real, I can't do zuk on the simulator and I can do it in the real game just fine. It's just not realistic or good at all.

Either not using rigour permanently or being fully range potted.
If you are doing both of those then you're losing ticks when attacking with bow, it's normal to hit with a 6 or 7 tick tbow when learning, but reducing that to 5 is a massive dps increase

I got all 4 new dt2 bosses on farm, over 1600 cg kc, 230 400ish avg toa, and I will NEVER have this cape. Why? Because I play with the best days ping at 110. I have VERY unreliable internet that often hiccups or will sometimes dc. So to ask me to spend the time in something that needs me to 2 tick my way through a 1 1/2 hour first timer is just not going to happen. I think most get the cape for the false clout it comes with. I can assure you, anyone with the time and a reliable connection can achieve the cape, it's not a matter of skill if you send enough. All that being said, my enjoyment is PvM in-game but that stems from massing gp. The ardy 4 diary cape is better for stab as well. So the inferno for what its stats offer with my current situation is just out of the question to justify.
If your net is reliable enough to do 400+ toa and cg it's more than reliable enough for inferno, this is all cope.
