  • While having a good time in Cameroon why not take some time off to learn about the history and culture of the Grassfield?
These sites constitute a dynamic site covering mainly the Northwest and West regions of Cameroon. It is considered by many as the birthplace of the Bantu languages and a primary source of ancient sedentary cultures for Central Africa.
Originally colonized by Germany, the fault line between the later British-controlled Southern Cameroons and French-controlled Cameroun ran through the Grassfields, dividing the Bamenda groups from the Bamiléké and Bamum.
The people of the Grassfields are very attached to their roots. They have managed to preserve their authentic culture, far from any modern influence. You will also have the opportunity to visit Bimbia, which still reminds us of the historic slave trade activities on the Cameroon coast in that regrettable but long era of history.
We know you will need a guide in exploring these sites and that is why we prepared the #TourCMR App which has everything you need.
Download the TourCMR App on both Playstore and Appstore and start planning your trip now.
