I’ve been seeing NOTHING BUT Jodah decks in regular Brawl. He’s pretty good but people forget a lot that killing jodah at instant speed basically just ends the game if they attack with too much gusto
You know how Commanders work do you? I'll just play it the next turn with 2 additional mana. Especially this deck can generate so much mana you could give a F. Better exile it with Leyline Binding/Borrowed Time/Cathar and the like and keep it exiled on board.
@@nomenestomen3452 yeah but if you attack with a horde of 9/9’s and then jodah dies… you’re suddenly in a combat step with 2/2’s or whatever and can easily get blown out. Same if you block too aggressively.

Prosper and vega the watcher are a great combo with jodah as well since every spell you cast from cascade (or from the command zone) makes a treasure in the case of prosper or draws a card in the case of vega!
This set has been okay so far, but it surprised me how much less support it has for legendaries and artifacts matter compared to DOM. But BRO! That will at least be bringing the artifacts.
Jodah is such a bomb but decks including it are so pricey on wildcards unfortunately. For now I will have to vicariously play it through youtubers and streamers.
I've never seen a big power move before then waiting for the opponent to get right up to the amount of counters to ultimate then stealing their planeswalker, now I need to see legenvd make a deck about waiting for someone to combo off and stealing their combo.
I've seen it a couple times, it's always great My favorite one was someone stealing Tevash Szat and immediately ultimating in Commander Legends draft, meaning they stole every else's commanders

The commander being a creature with no ETB value does make it quite a bit worse against piles of interaction. Bolas Dragon God probably devours this deck for breakfast. Additionally the deck doesn't have that much interaction itself which is a big weakness in the hell Q too

"Rip wildcards - Whales content" Unfortunately I began playing with WAR, so I don't have most of the DOM rares 😭 and as soon as I will have them, this deck will be thrown in the hell queue... but it was very funny to watch you playing it!
When I imported this decklist to Arena and was shocked to realize I only needed to nix about 7 or 8 cards I didn't have that I didn't want to use my few rare wildcards left on, I knew: I play too much arena. And apparently it's paying off, because this deck is so busted.
Jodah the Unifier deck building decktech (paper edition): 1. Open card binders 2. Take out all legendaries you find, no matter what they do (yes, even the vanilla ones) 3. Slam inside an usable manabase (yep, the costly part) 4. ? 5. Profit
In my Jodah deck i run valentin and valki, because you can cast the flipsides with cascade which is pretty awesome. Wizards was probably smoking crack while making this card because it does what sliver legion and the first sliver do combined... without being restricted to slivers. EDIT: In the games you already included valki, i was typing this during deck tech lol
@@LegenVD even then having the flexibility of an early creature or valki for a higher cascade rate later in the game is still worth it to me but i totally understand that

I've been playing this with less legands and more ramp and fixing. Magda is a really good 2 drop even though with all the tapped lands it can be tough. Since historic brawl is just for fun I really like kamahl's druidic vow as well. Also, can we get Time Warp out of historic brawl? It's so miserable.
This commander is broken. On the plus side it has taken the historic brawl meta from 60+% Go-Shintai to 40+% Jodah & 25% shrines. Hooray for small victories!! This is now #1 of the top 3 Most Satisfying decks to crush!
Goro-Goro is amazing to give all haste. Also if you cascade into it. Cascading into Valki give you a free planeswalker. Minsc and boo, Timeless hero is almost insta win with Jodah with the sac ability on planeswalker as your creature already got insane high power. Captain Lannery Storm is great as well in the deck. To me it seems like your version got way too much ramp. But that might work anyway. Many versions you can make with Jodah as commander. Its fun.

10 counters is correct. Didn't find official ruling after 1 minute of searching but plenty of discussions all seem to agree, since the effect exiles cards 1 at a time until a condition is met, they are all separate exiles.
Tried it out and you can even see it in one of the games. Found it a little slow to play and level up when not all Legendaries are Red/Green. But can be great in more grindy matchups once you get it to Level 3.

I guess the idea is "exile cards until..." means first you exile a card, then you check a condition, then you exile another, then you check a condition...so many exiles within one resolution. Whereas "exile the top 5 cards" or "exile all your creatures" would be truly simultaneous.
This is a very nice and fun deck, but it dies horribly to anything that runs a decent amount of removal. I had a few matches against it using black/white Sorin and my opponent could not do anything at all. Wrath effects are especially devastating against it
Thanks to how the cascade ability works, if you cascade into something like a valki, you can actually cast the tibalt side as well which is pretty cool!
Had it in the deck for that reason, although was pretty sad when I drew it most of the time so it got cut. You can see it show up in a few different games.
Likely because its a new set release, I've noticed arena is always buggy around a launch of a new set then give it a couple weeks and things are back to normal.

You mean a ranked ladder? They probably don't view it as a competitive format. The existence of a "hell queue" for the more powerful commanders mostly serves that purpose.
Using in Bolas's clutches to gain control of WAR Lili is probably one of the most flavor moves I've ever seen in Magic.

The only way it could have been more fitting is if a Bolas card was on the field at the time.

Katilda is currently bugged actually. She has protection from regular wolves. Unless that was fixed ofc
