Festival in France 1986: Eddie Palmieri - pno; Hector Veneros - flute; Charlie Sepulveda - trumpet; Jose Rodriguez - trombone; Jose Ramirez - percussion
I've been seeing live Eddie Palmieri shows since 1965. I remember him playing with the great trombonists Barry Rogers & Jose Rodrigues from Brazil. Barry was born in the Bronx, NY (1935). He passed away much too young. La Perfecta (Eddie's 1960s - 70s band) is Eddie at his best. What I've noticed is that over the yrs. Eddie plays the same 200 songs revitalized to modern times. Of course , he also comes up with fresh new material all the time.
I am Cali Aleman the singer on this concert that was in Montreux, Swiss . if you have the concert, would it be nice to place it in youCZcams, because I sang many more songs at the concert. I had the whole concert in VHD, but a friend of mine, a bass player in LA, has it, and he promised to give it back, I've been the entire century begin him to give it back to me. The trombon is Jose Rodriguez the original from la Perfecta. Also in this tour was Papo Vasquez. The other one is Jose Ramirez, in Bata and chorrus with the great Anthony Carrillo on bongoes, bata, chorus,. Ask me for info on this concert or video. Thanks. !!!!!!!!!!

ths Bob for uploading this video, i have been searching for this about 29 years, this is one of the best concerts he played. My father recorded this when i was 16 years on a vhs-recorder but de quality was so poor, later i recorded it from the vhs tape on a dvd to save the video but the quality was the same. I hope you have the full concert at juan-les-pins and will upload this one. In the same year Ray Barretto played there as well as tito puente with celia cruz. Intimate moments when it's not a concert or a recording studio but a jam..In fact few of the Latin songs take-off < But crowd the run-way with filler.> Each to his own, but i have the hair-raising dozen songs or so that rock: headed for the stratospheres
