  • I'm curious how many hundreds or even thousand miles per year the MiniPro/MiniLite is going to save me from walking per year? It does have an odometer.

    Great review and demonstration! I just bought the lite and put 15miles on it in the first wk. I use it to walk my dog. I’m 165 pounds and it easily goes up an incline. It took maybe 30 minutes of practice to feel comfortable going fast and walking the dog. Personally I wouldn’t spend the extra $ for the pro. But I don’t use it as much as you. I have a few months of a return window to see if I should upgrade.

      Okus Sidenote my dog goes crazy for the hoverboard. Heads up you have to recalibrate the gyros if it ever acts weird. It is on the phone app.

    I always miss the school bus and end up walking for like 40 minutes to school so this would be really useful

      It's funny how people who try to control the Segway don't do well on it. I've seen very athletic people fall off, and drunk people step on and zip away like it's nothing.

    Is your inverter a pure sine wave or modified? I just picked one up but Im skittish about using it until I know the modified sine wave inverter wont screw up my segway battery.

      It is just a cheap inverter. I'm sure it is trapazoidal, because the mini segway power adapter makes a humming sound when charging. By, the way. I have spent 20 years trying to find a decent 12V battery to run a lot of electronics in mobile applications with the engine off. I always blow thru batteries after 1 or 2 years from deep cycling them. It turns out that old school golf cart 12V batteries are the way to go. But, you have to periodically add water. I will do a video on this.

    If that is the minilite it says it has a maximum weight limit of 175lbs. Are you over 175 and if so by how much? Wondering if one of these would work for me at 190.

      I regularly carry 250 lbs with me and tools. I have the mini lite and mini pro. If you plan on doing 1000 miles a year like me, get the mini pro. The biggest difference is the double battery size. I weigh 200 lbs and I only get 10 mile range on the mini pro. I would probably just get 5 mile range on the mini lite. I found a used pro for about the same price as the mini lite. But, they both are good. They both have the same frame and could probably ride 500 lbs. The pro is only 15% more powerful. You will only notice the power difference on hills. But, I get bucked off all the time on the pro when I ride off road. But, I never actually fall to the ground. The are both awesome!

    Would you say the MINI LITE would be ok for a tall adult?

    • @NathansHVAC
      @NathansHVAC  Před 6 lety

      Channel Everything height doesn't matter. Goes by weight on hills. Probably 180 max. You could probably carry 50 lbs more. I'm 200 lbs and can ride the lite fine. But, sometimes I go up to 300 lbs with load. Pro is 25% stronger. Not that big of a deal.

    I was laughing at you until I saw you move the heat pump. Does it have enough balls to push a five section cast iron boiler uphill?

      I have one and it's extremely powerful. The motors can sustain a combined output of 1 horsepower.
      One time I was able to push my roommate's car on the Segway faster than by just walking.
