"We are not in the past yet, but I will show you the past in a minute," is one of my favorite sentences, ever! Beyond that fun moment, thank you for the excellent content and knowledge.
Thanks, I'm a Finn with a lot of English studying under my skin, with a decent Swedish basic knowledge. I picked up Français last year, and I find it to be quite easy for me to learn, but some of the grammar is difficult, although it makes sense! I'm glad I was lucky enough to have these things taught in my mother tongue back in high school. Thanks for the help, I shall subscribe!
Je joue au foot mais il y a quelques jours je viens de jouer au foot accompagnant avec mes amis dans un champ mais un de nos ami gravement y blessé. On y arrêtait de jouer en plus quelques semaines après on y avait revenu à jouer au foot et on avait bien joué avec nos collègues. C'était un air de réfléchir pour nos.
Questions: 1) What about "prétérit" and "passé simple". 2) Can you use passé composé in place of passé simple? 3) What's the equivalent tense to the present perfect in English? Present perfect is for an action that lasts to the present but passé composé is not the same. You said passé composé is for an action that ended already. 4) Is "j'étais en train de laver" the same as "Je lavais"? Thanks
@@AlmazovS “J’ai” is a elision between the subject/pronoun & conjugated verb. [Je + Avoir] > [J’ + ai] > [I + Have]. Je is pronounced “ju” in a way that sounds like you’re gonna say the English word “Jug” but obviously omitting the g. J’ai is pronounced more like “jeh” or “jay”
I have a question: if we say “I was eating when he arrived” did you say we should say “I was eating when he have arrived”?! I ask because you said imparfait continues until it’s stopped by passé compose - but you said passé compose is “have arrived” and if we put it all together “I was eating when he have arrived” is not a correct English sentence. So why did you say the passé compose stops the imparfait? The correct English is “I was eating when he arrived” or we can say “I was eating when he had arrived”. So knowing this, what would be the proper French translation for “I was eating when he arrived” as well as “I was eating when he had arrived” ? Thank you ❤
En 8h32, est-ce que je serai là avec plus de contextes et d'exemples de "l'Imparfait" (dans le court passé) ? Si oui, sont-ils sur votre site web ? Seriez-vous occupé à faire une autre vidéo sur les prétextes sous "imparfait" ?

Hahaha, merci beaucoup !
Plus_que parfait is the past perfect, imparfait is past continuous, passè composé is past simple and passé récent is present perfect.
This is a good way to learn the tenses with these timelines, Alexa. Thank you for your help with the French language. Daryl. 😃👋🏻

Je joue and J'ai joué sounds the same! How to distinguish?
No it doesn't sound same at all
J’ai joué is pronounced with an accent in the e. so, the conjugated verb, joue has only one syllable while joué has two syllables.
@@kiahjay1493 I also confused a bit about J'ai and Je

you should translate “i need to shut up and be grateful” instead
It's her business and form of income. She's giving free gems which are very helpful. Don't be toxic and either learn from her or leave her alone.
