Yo quick question, how do you get people to respect you so much? Whenever I play Azucena it feels like I just mashed out of my mix opportunities and I have to play so safe that it feels cookiecutter and easy to predict. Any tips?
My advice is use stance canceling and rely on frame tight strings. Like if you db3, backturn 1,2 will catch mashing. If you're getting crouch punched constantly backturn 3+4 will hit them while avoiding it. If you just feel unsure about what option they'll pick canceling is the safest way to go because afterwards if they mash on you, you can probably punish with at least a 10f. Mash 1,2 or 2 in both stances is always pretty safe dont mix anything if you dont have to
I tend to run into the same problem as Azucena. You'd have to check your opponent. Db3 on hit is plus 4 so bt1+2 would counter launch anyone that jabs. Her bt jab is also good for checking. You'd also have to cancel a lot which is annoying, but what I do is while in bt, I cancel into a crouch kick to interrupt whatever they throw out unless they low crush me of course. I also check with lib3+4 (her power crush). You very much have to condition your opponent to open them up to her other options.
Also, I think lib3 (just the low kick, no 1) is slept on. It's +2 on hit and goes into bt stance. I find myself doing that and doing a her bt1,2 or just 1 to check them.
