*Greatest lesson from kingkiller chronicles: Never read an unfinished triology*
"When we are children we seldom think of the future. This innocence leaves us free to enjoy ourselves as few adults can. The day we fret about the future is the day we leave our childhood behind."
"My parents danced together, her head on his chest. Both had their eyes closed. They seemed so perfectly content. If you can find someone like that, someone who you can hold and close your eyes to the world with, then you're lucky. Even if it only lasts a minute or a day. The image of them gently swaying to the music is how I picture love in my mind even after all these years. "
"If all your friends decided to jumb down from the rooftop would you d...
Kvothe : YEET
The quote: "I've been waiting a long time to show these flowers how pretty you are". That my gf say is what finally convinced her to be with me after 3 dates.
I think my absolute favorite quote from the books is "the painting of a fire and the fire itself " This really struck me on a reread and I realized it's used twice, once by Elodin to describe the difference between words and names, and once by Kvothe to describe Felurian. It's incredibly beautiful and it really sticks with you long after you've read it!
This quote always hits me hard. "I've learned that the best way to defend yourself is to show your enemies that THEY CAN'T MAKE YOU BLEED!"
This series needs to be read multiple times.
Not really though.
@@nikitas1841 makes sense
@@Janopooh I know, right?
I agree, I think the first series I reread right after finishing.
My main take away is, that the way to hell is paved with good intentions. You can be the most well meaning guy ever, you still need to question the actual consequences of your actions and sometimes the thing that hurts is most is not done out of spite but something like pity, protectivness or what ever
You might want to read The Dresden Files of you haven't already.
chapter 36: All Is Knowing
"It is a man's nature to dwell on what sits close to his heart."
This is so true! These books are so important, and changed me in a good way!
A quote that changed the way I live is somewhere at the start of the book: The day you stop being à child is the day you start worrying About the future. (I thïñk its Something like this)
You see, women are like fires, like flames. Some women are like candles, bright and friendly. Some are like single sparks, or embers, like fireflies for chasing on summer nights. Some are like campfires, all light and heat for a night and willing to be left after. Some women are like hearthfires, not much to look at but underneath they are all warm red coal that burns a long, long while.
But Dianne…Dianne is like a waterfall of spark pouring off a sharp iron edge that God is holding to the grindstone. You can’t help but look, can’t help but want it. You might even put your hand to it for a second. But you can’t hold it. She’ll break your heart.
Thanks for your videos on the Kingkiller books! Your videos allow me to enjoy the books in a whole new way.
The Name of The Wind has a special place in my heart, but I don't want to finish the 2nd book for the fear I might wait in agony for the 3rd
yeah.... I read The Wise Man's Fear when I was 21..... I'm turning 30 this August!
@@clayr7978 my commiserations
@@clayr7978 god this hurts to think about
I've read both, and although the third book is a bit of an unknown, I think I am happier for having such a beautiful rich story in my life, even if I never know the ending, I have enjoyed every moment spent in the world Pat Rithfuss has created.
Exactly what I need. Thank you kindly.
Make kingkiller videos on the current timeline. How the world is falling apart, and possible reason behind it. Also I would like it very much if you get into dresden files. Like the name of the wind dresden files are written in first person. Unlike Rothfuss Jim Butcher publishes every year
That was a brilliant video. I loved your analysis and your insight. Thanks so much
Keep up the great work! :D
What a great video! Thank you so much!
I really enjoy your video's, keep it up! I can't say I have any one favourite quote from the books, there is far too many I enjoy!
The only exception being poets. He has plenty of disdain for that profession.
Thanks you very much for beautiful content😄
I'm planning a reread just because of this video👍👍👍
Rothfuss appreciates you just as much as we all do. Much love brother
Amazing video
Awesome. Thank you for your insights and for all of your great content. We appreciate the creative positivity.
I luv this channel! thanks bro.
Congratulations,” he said. “That was the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen.” 😂😂😂😂😂, from the thumbnail
If there is one thing I will not abide, it is the folly of willful pride.
You sir, deserve my subscription. Keep it up 💪🏻
So true. These book shape a lot of my view.
Kvothe is a teenager, so not surprisingly, he doesn't always think before he acts (or thinks of all the possible results, good and bad).
Great video man, keep it up, you're doing great
Who reads these videos? Great voice, great accent, rythm and lyricism. Really good content, too.
I can't think of a quote but I always thought that "A wise man's fear" was ignorance.
Another great video!
Love this channel 🥰
great work!
I was really hoping that the rumors surrounding the release of the 3rd book this year were true, alas(
At least your video essays never disappoint.
Nice
Лайк за имя ветра! Это шедевр!
How's the road to death son? Fated man slung to a iron wheel. He knows and fears the broken gear.👏 Great stuff. Definitely one theme, but what about Kvothe being the dark side of the Moon?
Allt hese videos are awesome man!, Just need to start pronouncing the V in kVothe haha
I am here to formally beg Patrick Rothfuss to release the third book ASAP.
That is all. Thank you for the interesting video.
What happened to the Wise Man's Fear follow up video?
Computer games, some TV showsans audio books, for me. I'm not really a fan of reading. I prefer audiobooks. But nice video. The book sounds good.
I have a question. When? Btw, good video.
No entiendo inglés y me re interesan estos vídeos F
I’m really confused how your take away from name of the wind is to follow a path and see it through, cause it’s better to try and fail, then never trying at all? The mark of an excellent author is someone who actually finishes their book
Months? I read the book in 6 days.
Mistborn The Final Empire for example take me 5 days.
The Well of Ascension...................... take me 2 weeks, I HATE THAT BOOK.
PS: I read fast because usually my friends lend me his books.
The wonderful aside, there were about 8 ads in the 11 min video 🙄🙄
What if kvoth was really a chandrian and he never knew.. so when he does find out he really is a chandrian he fakes his death and goes into hidin not wantin to be a chandrian cuz of that they did to his parents/tribe...... MIND-BLOWING
2:40 But I am useless.
