Just a small suggestion, think about attaching a strip of 1/2 inch wood or MDF first to the wall (as a base), this way you can hit all the studs, and will not be limited to the curtain rod span. Then just center and screw the curtain rod holders to the wooden/MDF base plate. In my opinion this would be better and long lasting solution. the wood or MDF can be painted to match your wall.

you need furniture sliders.. they are pretty cheap.. you can get sliders for carpet floor and wooden floor... then it will be easy to slide the furniture even through the stairs.. you may also use an old rug and keep it under your sofa when moving through the stairs.. Having said that.. you cannot take it to the basement using the stairs... either you need an alternative entrance.. or just move the sofa upstairs... or backyard... good luck.

Saurabh bhai, you should use drywall anchors, this can fall anytime when you move upstairs and possibly damage your drywallas well as curtain rod. Its a safety issue as well. Get E-Z Ancor 75 lbs capacity its like $4 at homedepot for 4 pcs.

you should use dry wall anchors - depending on the type, most can carry more than 50lbs of weight
