Way to go on your first laced & framed piece! 🙌 I'm sure any small imperfections can & will be overlooked. That is a great accomplishment! Trying new things can be so hard.

Stay cool my friend! What a crazy hot couple of weeks we have! I looked at the temperatures in the Monterey Bay area (where my parents live). They're in the 60's and 70's! May have to make an escape visit! But not on the next 2 Saturdays. Two more Swim meets! I pray I don't melt into a puddle. Looking for ways to stay cool outside. Ah well, looks like I'll miss another meet-up. Hope to see everyone in August!

My Mom and I were making the grandma’s flower garden quilts. As my Mom passed away in 2019, I haven’t worked on it much, but really should. Prayers for your family as well. Sending many prayers!! FYI - I had to have a cerclage 27 years ago to bring my son into this world. Yes it takes out the fun of a pregnancy but it certainly can be done and then this surprise package arrives.. I was bound to do everything the doctors suggested as I lost our baby the year before. So glad I’m not the only one that calls it “the damn grass”. Good thing the grass is beautiful when it’s done. Sometimes I treat the grass like a vegetable (as you have mentioned) and put in a thread of grass before doing anything else. It does help it go faster to break it up that way.
