I looked at buying a pre lined cistern, I could not find one, and if I could, it would need to fit our toilet. In America you can buy "Toilet tank liner kits" from most big hardware stores. I am in the U.K. That is why I ddi this.
Microplastics will leach from the polystyrene into the water down the drains into the oceans. A few drops of water from the cistern will do no long-term damage and condensation only occurs for short spells.
If condensation only occurs for short spells, how come I used to get pools of water on the floor? Sorry but in my case you are in error.
So many daft ideas on CZcams.
@haraldtheyounger5504 I doubt you have ever had a toilet cistern that "sweats" this solves the problem, so why is it "daft" The daft thing to do would be to ignore it, and ignore the condensation dripping on the floor and rotting the timbers.
That is nonsense only occurring for a short time, every time the toilet is flushed it gets refilled with 6-9 litres of mains water which at this time of year is probably 2-3 degrees , if you want make a good job disconnect all fitting from within the cistern and spray the inside of the cistern with expanding foam then trim back as required , you want to put the plugs back in the symphon unit to increase the volume flush as the capacity of the cistern will be reduced , the clown that said you risk causing chemical contamination, have a day off please!!
It's just condensation because the water in the cistern is cold and the bathroom is warm duh! Just wipe it off if you're that worried about it. Apart from that if it's minus 0 outside don't turn your water off as it may well freeze the lying water in the pipes and cause leaks.
