2) reduce reservation, its really unfair for general category (btw even i had scored 93.1 in jee 2024 and was just 0.1+ percentile away from cutoff)😢😢

i feel so sorry to see this year's JEE Main. luckily i cleared the cutoff but everything else is so horrible it's making me worry even for advanced. they were doing perfectly fine last year 83%ile was at 23 marks i cant believe how things got this bad in the span of barely a full year?

The number of quality students is increasing but no. of colleges is still same, this year the student who scored 140 marks will get the same college as a student who scored just 90 marks last year, difference is clear

Clarification on Taking a Drop for JEE Advanced not main Considering Cheating, Ease of Physics, and Lengthiness of Math, irregularities in shifts
Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my concerns regarding the JEE Main 2024 results, specifically focusing on the ease of the physics section and the lengthiness of the math section, the normalization process, and alleged irregularities that may have affected my eligibility for JEE Advanced.Firstly, I would like to bring to your attention the significant difference in the difficulty levels of the physics and math sections in JEE Main 2024.
The physics section was notably easier compared to previous years, while the math section proved to be excessively lengthy. This disparity has led to a situation where many NEET aspirants, who focused less on JEE Main and more on NEET, have scored higher percentiles than JEE Advanced aspirants who covered the syllabus less than NEET aspirants but in greater depth.Earlier too it happened on a smaller scale now it's affecting cutoff. Moreover, there have been instances where the NTA provided incorrect answers for several questions in both sessions of the exam. This issue has been observed in previous years as well, raising concerns about the accuracy of the evaluation process and its potential impact on candidates transitioning to JEE Advanced.
There have been several cases of cheating.A specific example of this issue is the case of a candidate with AIR 14 who was reported to have cheated, yet their name still appears in the NTA's toppers list. Additionally, there have been reports of toppers writing the exam in specific shifts, which is uncontrollable but still contributes to the overall concerns about the exam's fairness.
Given these circumstances, I kindly request clarification on whether taking a
drop for JEE Advanced, instead of JEE Main, would be beneficial in this situation as I had always prepared for JEE Advanced and was expecting to clear cutoff. I believe that the ease of the physics section, the lengthiness of the math section, and the alleged irregularities and cheating by other candidates may have significantly impacted my performance, and I would like to understand if there are any options available for me to address this issue.

Where are the numbers?? HOW MANY so called "NEET" aspirants are getting HOW MUCH more than HOW MANY "JEE" aspirants? How can you define a NEET aspirant and a JEE aspirant, if an individual decides to write both? Do you see the practical difficulty in distinguishing them? Suppose a NEET aspirant wants to write mains for fun, or vice versa, HOW can you differentiate them from being an "original" JEE aspirant and an "original" NEET aspirant?
What will IIT M Director do about this?
There are no rules restricting the people from writing both exams, nor will there ever be, so fighting for this cause is hopeless, as it is simply impractical.

Altleast for jee mains qualification there should be horizontal resevation rather than vertical so that more general student could get chance

1.)NTA should increase the number of candidates eligible for jee advanced.
2)They should give 3-4 chances as selection in these colleges are comparatively very low.
3)Provide a good quality of education in schools as because most of the jee aspirants ruin their paper due to the pressure of 75% attendance given by the cbse or any other board
4)On the other hand, nowadays paper of CBSE boards are getting tougher day by day.......but to this everyone asks that why u didnt did well for 12th boards...
The simple answer would be that if you want us to solve that level of questions then you have to provide education to that level only.......schools wale sab ise mazak mein le lete hai..
Now most of the people will comment that why u guys didnt appeared for open schooling,so I just wanted to clear out that it is not possible for everyone to get themselves enrolled in open schooling board.......😢😢

No need to increase Attempts. Even hold the two consecutive years wala rule . But relax it to be any of the two years (within 3 years of completing 12th) . and this will be more than enough for a serious student

Sir failed to qualify for jee advanced by 0.24 percentile i could have easily scored under 10000 rank in jee advanced as the syllabus is did were solid as rock , from past 15 days i was scoring between 120-150 in jee advanced mock tests

Same. I also failed to qualify by 0.2%ile just because NTA did not drop the questions which were wrong. In my shift 3 questions were wrong and that gave mein three negative marks. I could have easily qualified it

There are people who have advanced oriented mind and would do questions requiring deep thinking but didn't have the capability to remember formulas, equations, etc. (especially in 2024)

New courses in Btech are coming up these days . May be the seats will increase in future . But this is never a logic that why a certain percentage of students should always be entertained to appear for advanced wrt the total students appearing . If you want to give advanced you must come in that decided percentage of students . For eg : if relaxation is given to a 92.99 percentile student (if 93 percentile is cutoff) then ,will it not affect a 92.98 percentile student in the same manner .

Sir, I am from Village I don't know about IIT in class 12th so I took drop for this. In jan attempt I was not mentally prepared for jee mains in April attempt i just attempted that question in which I was confident and counted that my cutoff will clear from these questions but NTA has raised the cutoff from huge difference. I am totally sad to see that my dream of Btech from IIT is broken. I didn't what to do next @motion
