good video, short/simple/to-the-point ;;; as mentioned, they really should have had an OL gauge for ppl to see where they were at, and which things filled it more ((like with the Lambda meter in Tales Graces F))
You can set them to not do anything in battle. The other one thing I don’t like is that they still take damage in battle. But as long as you’re right next to a safe space you can always heal up when you’re done if you’re just aiming for grinding.
Ok what you want to do is hit the D pad on PS4/5 when in-game then hit R1 and look at the top if the screen to the right, toogle the options button until it says manual
Necro Post : i'd assume that since you can pretty much OP anything in the game till nearly the end/dlc era with the boost items, you probably DID NOT practice perfect dodges/guards ((very important on higher difficulties)), nor would you have been taken uuber damage ((stats waayyy high)) so in short ... "yes" the boost items would have made it nearly impossible for you to activate OL, *but*, you could have forced them on by sitting around doing "nothing" for a little bit

Hard to enter overlimit if 3 other partys are bashing the enemies. And the aggro is not always at you
