If you want to know why old stuffed bear is so special, it's actually a callback to "Mickey's once upon a Christmas." watch it and you'll get why he treasures it lol.
I actually knew several of my classmates, even after college, still hold some of their stuffed animals good and tight.
One girl actually nearly fought the whole volleyball team when they pranked her by messing with her stuffed rabbit.
My brother went to college the same time as our Dad and people were pretty chill about it. Then again, our Dad was nothing like Goofy 😂
Someone suggested that it's Goofy that forgot the lesson from last time instead of Max, while Max isn't happy Goofy's there at college with him, he is understanding when he learns his dad was fired. So Max lays down some reasonable ground rules, and is very direct with him about letting him have his independence. However Goofy forgets the conversation and does his smothering parent thing when he's supposed to be there for his degree and it messes things up for Max's college life. While Max is guilty of not noticing his dad being sad of him leaving, Goofy shouldn't have burdened Max with his empty nest syndrome.
I really wish they didn't get rid of Roxanne😔. I thought her and Max were so cute. But Goofy and Sylvia are adorable too🥰
I like to think Roxanne's dad gently persuaded Max to go to a different school.
@@DLR1997 And also on _House of Mouse_
Not everyone ends up with their high school sweetheart.
Some relationships don't even last a semester.
Fun Fact: Sylvia Marpole is voiced by Bebe Neuwirth. If you don't know who Bebe Neuwirth is you may know her as Dr. Lilith Sternin from the TV shows Cheers (1986-1993) and Fraser (1993-2004) and as Aunt Nora from Jumanji (1995).
I like to think that Max left his teddy bear to goofy
Lol, when I was a kid, there was a line in the Extremely Goofy Movie that I thought was the funniest thing I ever heard.
"Gamma Brother Goofy, let me present you with your Gamma Mu Mu pledge pin."
I don't know why, but that line cracked me up as a kid. 🤣
Fun Fact: This movie served as the overall series finale to Goof Troop
I think the scene with the horseshoe the point of that is no matter how much you prepare or plan there will always be bumps bruises and turns until you get to your goal and goof is trying to explain to them that no matter how many times something bad happens you got to keep on moving
That's why goofy is one of my favorite disney characters. He may be clumsy and not the most brightest, but he has the biggest heart 🥺
I would watch this movie all the time on tv growing up. To me, it’s a pretty good follow up to the first Goofy Movie. Thanks for the reaction Timothee, stay cool bro!
@@twist58 You know, I actually do. She reappeared in an episode of the House of Mouse series and then this film showed up, leaving us with no explanation of why she didn’t return.
"Life is like a lime."
I feel that.
The only bad part of this movie is no Roxanne
14:25 What Max does to his dad here, suggesting Goofy play for the rival team full of bullies, really upsets me. As much as Max felt tortured by his dad going to College with him, he never did it to hurt him. Max willingly put his innocent father in that position. Goofy ALWAYS sees the best in people....
That being said boundaries and rules are definitely needed if my parents went to College with me XP
I haven’t seen this in awhile. Another good dog movie that will really get your emotions is homeward bound 1 and the sequel. But the first one is really emotional. Such good movies
That was the first live action movie I ever saw in the theatre. I remember Sally Field dissing Michael J Fox for the entire film. "Cats rule and dogs drool!"
11:14 Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition (^-^)
9:18 Fun fact: The outfit Goofys wearing here is a reference to PeeWee Herman!
Thats why you pick the college farthest from your hometown
Max and Roxanne split and Max reached his full potential
18:50 it took me 22 years to get that joke, only now i realized "Except the German, nine to that one" (nine sounds just like the German word for "No")
19:26 and then they doubled down with the 42 😂
I never noticed that before
5:35 I'd sue whoever made that machine. That thing had no failsafe, and a reverse mode? It then sucks in Goofy, chokes on him, and malfunctions. It violently overloads and expands, bulging out each segment as it builds up pressure, until it finally explodes!
It’s a real shame that Roxanne and Stacy got written out of the movie… everyone could’ve had a happy love life.
Max and Bobby in the first movie
PJ and Goofy in this one
Poor Pete
the voice actor for Stacy was in this too she voiced one of the girls that would go up to Max the one w the short hair and green shirt.
I just got accepted to the University of Arkansas and my family and friends were so surprised.
10:54 it is for him. As he said earlier, he dropped out, so he's just here for the unfinished credits for the degree he was working towards.
My best guess? He lost sight because thats when he had Max, and just never went back.
Tim, be honest. Did Bradley jumping up into frame at 13:58 startle you a little?
And as much as I love AEGM as a sequel, it never answered one of the biggest questions.
What the hell happened to Roxanne?!
That poet girl though
Nine (nein) on the German judge! Classic! 🤣
This Movie was Okay which actually pretty great considering How Bad most straight to Dvd Disney Sequels were
Lol yeah, don't even get me started. For example, the straight to DVD "sequel" to The Fox & The Hound is a complete joke.
As a college student, that's not how classes work. You get COMPLETE freedom over what classes you pick. It's not the same as, like... primary or secondary educations.
and if you fail a class, you're not really forced to retake it, unless it's a genuine requisite. But the class they were taking seemed to be something regarding poetry, mythology, or creative writing, all of which are not requirements.
The Gammas were definitely taking it as an easy class for their final year.
Also, unnecessary hate for Beret Girl. Not cool, man. :(
33:30 goofy only had to go to one year of college because he already had taken 3 years of college in the 70s but never took the 4th year to graduate. Idk how he was in the same class as max though. You’d think he’d be in an advanced class
I have fond memories of my neighborhood pool showing this at nighttime party once in the summer of 2000. That said, A Goofy Movie reigns supreme.
This is my favorite Disney sequel. Right up their with Kronk’s New Groove
That trippy scene with Goofy was surprisingly hard to watch. Didn't expect that from a goofy straight-to-DVD sequel.
I'm glad Goofy got someone to love. He is usually paired with Clarabelle Cow when he is portrayed with a love interest and yeah it is a straight-to-DVD sequel, but I'd like to see him more with this library lady. They're very sweet together.
Roxanne isn't around, I think because Max is supposed to represent a typical teenager and I guess they wanted to be more realistic and not go the "marries and spends the rest of their life with their first crush" route. Older Max has been portrayed with another girl in one Disney short.
I love this film and watched it more than Goofy Movie growing up. I also own the soundtrack because I absolutely love the version of “Right Back where we Started From” as it is much better than the original. One thing I think would have made this film better is if you see a growing relationship with Max and Roxanne and them going to college together.
I never thought about it, but, like, after only a week out from under Pete's thumb, PJ just busts out of his shell, doesn't he?
Thanks for this reaction! My fav scene was always Shake Your Groove thing!
🖤💛💜💙🕺🏻
6:41 is where puberty starts
The College X Games were run by ESPN and featured teams from several schools. It wasn't funded by any school. Disney acquired ESPN back in 1996; hence, the product placement.
15:42 Groovy Goofy! 🕺
Forgot this is one of the only cartoons to call out the drawing habit of nearly everybody wearing gloves. But it's a nice reminder that you're never too old to have fun or learn a new way of life.
This reaction was so groovy!
So nifty! So funky! Far out! Timothee is the bomb!! 🕺🏻
I remember when this camw out, my brother and I were getting ready to go to different boarding schools and we treated it like going to college. We were both 10 and 11 at the time.
I always wanted a real-life cafe named THE BEAN SCENE
You gonna react to Lilo and Stitch!?
I swear you gonna love kilos character she’s hilarious and cute and so is Stitch! Watch it that’s all I’m gonna say!
In The Movie “Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas.” In the Minnie and Daisy short we see hippopotamus and Crocodiles, from the Fantasia(1940) short. 3:36 I’m not rushing out, I want to eat. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Don’t ask me how I know that…😐🤤
I ve always liked these goofy movies even they were cirticized.
5:52 that guy gave me nightmares as a kid
The one thing I wanted to have was those Mountain of Nachos 👀
The lesson is if you screw over Ogre, he'll atomic wedgie you into a blimp
24:13 love how you zoom your face with no comment but only facial expressions 😝 loved the reaction and your videos 💖
Goofy reminds me of my mom. And at 23, I still have my baby pillow (name is self-explanatory) which is 21.
Goofy is so slept on bro and doesn’t get any credit. He raised max on his own, he putting him to college , went back to college himself and graduated. Props to goofy . Side note he went to college in the 70s he says so in the unemployment office . So idk how long credits are good for but given it’s a movie he was probably a year or a semester short lol.
Is it a shame to say that I learned to disco dance with this movie? I got my first taste of the genre with Shake Your Groove Thing, and it has become a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. It is fun to listen to and a blast to dance to. Shake it, baby!
I love your videos, my favorite youtuber forever.😙🥰🥰🥰🥰
29:34 Another fact: The movie was actually released a year before 9/11, and to reflect this, in TV versions, the whole scene with the inflatable X on fire and rescuing the henchman was cut.
All the ESPN cross-promotion was also censored in the TV version. VERY clumsily, I might add.
I have a crush on a dog. Am I down bad?
Yea I gotta say I'd be like bobby, once I was skating across campus eating a box of chicken with a Dedenne plush in my hood and it was great
We need a Goofy Wedding
32:05 Accept the goof.
Embrace it.
Own it.
Love it.
Pete said that he's a free man once PJ is at college, but he forgot that he still has a daughter. If you never seen Goof Troop, Pete also had a wife and daughter.
With a name like "Pistol," Pete's definitely gonna have one hell of a time with her teenage years.
I always wondered as a kid why Pete never mentioned Peg and Pistol in A Goofy Movie - not even a throwaway line.
I like consistency in my movies as an autistic.
Goofy’s a good dad. A much better dad than Pete
This movie was a fun watch and when I was little this made me try skate boarding and it was fun
If Goofy was my Dad I would love it! I wouldn't care if it was college or something else, it would be awesome 😄
How interesting that in the 1st film Max is the one that found a girlfriend. And in the sequel here it's as if something happened between Max and Roxanne I guess and Max's dad finds a girlfriend in the end. Can we try to picture how it would have been if both Max and his dad had their own relationships at the same time? Or in the same film? Probably it would of had a little different feel to it.
I had this movie on vhs. Me and my sister would watch it repeatedly
29:33
I heard somewhere that this whole scene inside the burning X tower was cut from all TV airings of this movie, due to 9/11.
…which is stupid. 😑
I think it’s funny for me that I never knew that this movie was a sequel as a kid. I never knew A Goofy Movie existed. Seriously I only found out a while ago that this movie was a sequel!
@10:05 I remember that Carlton scream too well from the commercials and it still makes me laugh.
This is such a good film and the soundtrack is AMAZING!
Honestly, Goof (and Donald for bonus points) has the best development as a character.
Even though I like A Goofy movie more and I think An Extremely Goofy movie is just fine, I can recognize that the plot was good. It concentrated on Goofy more and what he was thinking, feeling and experiencing (whereas A Goofy Movie was more focused on Max), its a college movie which is rare and it has 70s music. Groovy ;)
I got a tiny seizure during the disco dance scene.
Not as good as the original obviously, but still pretty good
Love This Movie, Absolute Classic.
I just LOVE this movie !
10:50 It's cause he went to college in the 70's, but he had to leave during his final year.
8:58 *oohhhh u got roasted*
i remember as as a kid watching this being like “why cant max do this by himself” but then i realized that i was watching a kids movie 🤦🏻♀️😆✌🏻
He had a wife once. but tragically she died on a car accident.
An Extremely Goofy Movie is one of my all time favorite Disney films!
Roger Rabbit was right. Goofy really was the best at physical comedy.
30:52 😆
Sorry zoned out a sec. A goofy skull n bones initiation
I wonder what happened to Roxanne. She doesn't even get mentioned by name.
If you ask me, the toy factory boss should be fired for approving those machines to begin with. besides, why are they even equipped with a fast option to start with XD
Great movie and my childhood love ❤️ this movie as a kid and the soundtrack is beautiful🌸🌸🌸🥰🥰💕🦄🦄🦄
Yeah.. Unfortunately Roxanne was just in the first movie. Max even has a new girlfriend in "Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas" which seems to take place during a xmas break during his college years.
Although there IS a reference to both Max and Roxanne in the Ducktales reboot, which I found to be nice.
Extremely awesome Goofy movie
So what animals are they? It took me a while to figure out like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck
Collage is just a year for him tho haha
Another funny movie, these characters are so great together...a movie suggestions for you , lilo and stitch 2 and chicken run.
The biggest sin this movie commits…
…no Roxanne! 🥺
…although Sylvia and Beret Girl (yes that’s what her official name is) were nice additions.
☺️
@@wattsink2009 agreed Pj and Goofy deserved to find someone special just like Max and Bobby did in the first movie
This was an excellent Goofy movie sequel! Only thing is there was NO Roxanne or Stacey! I mean was Max still together with her or what?
In the House of mouse which has this version of Max there’s episodes where Roxanne shows up so my theory is she went to a different school but they’re still together
@@Neevkl_7 Oh yeah that's right. Though I still wish there was a scene when Max gave Roxanne a call or something in this movie.
The guy in the blimp NEVER SAW the Gamas cheating? He got a huge camera and was flying over them, how the heck did he not saw their dirty tricks? If he was blind, that would make sense but it's not the case.
Still waiting for your reaction to Disney’s The Great Mouse Detective!
😁
Despite the ups and downs I'm glad max and goofy still have that bond. Plus I have a feeling that Ms M will end up being Max's step mom in the future. That woman loves goofy faults and all. I felt bad for goofy when he sat in Max's room holding his old 🐻. Lot of parents get empty nest syndrome when their kids leave for college or join the military. Especially the single parents.
