  • This video is the first part of the Traveling on the budget SERIES! In this video, I explained the first and most important tip that you need to know in order to travel on a budget.
    More tips will be posted!
(I originally aimed to have at least 10 tips in one video but it's just impossible due to sign language and having a worldwide audience).

    hey everyone!
    Today's video will be about
how to budget while you're traveling!
    traveling can be expensive,
so, it's important that you budget while traveling
There is a list of several tips
that I can explain how to travel on a budget
but the problem is that the list is really long.
so, I thought about it, and
and I've decided to not explain all the tips in one video
It's impossible for me to explain everything in one video
it can be overwhelming and confusing for you
Instead, I will make a series for this
so I can write more than 2 videos for this series
and I can explain more about these tips.
This list of tips will not be perfect.
It can help you little by little.
but first, I have to share a disclaimer about this.
Whether you are Deaf or Hearing from around the world,
we all come from different walks of life.
This includes the economy and our income as well.
    It varies upon people.
    And for an example:
If I were to visit New Zealand or Australia,
It would be incredibly expensive for me there
because the economy is different between
    Australia and the USA
But if I were to visit India or Taiwan,
I see it as they're really cheap and affordable
    that's from my perspective.
We can have different perspectives because
you see Taiwan or India expensive instead.
    so you'd perceive it differently
So, my list of tips may or may not be applicable to you
    because again, we're all different.
So, this is tip number one!
    It's such an important tip!
If you have several countries that you'd want to visit,
    such as Europe or Asia,
there are several countries that you'd like to see
but which countries are affordable to YOU?
You have to think about it.
    "Maybe I can visit this?"
"maybe I cannot visit there yet?"
It's important for you to think about the destinations
    and then choose them
With your travel goals, it needs to be realistic with
    the money that you have.
How much is your travel fund?
    For example.
Say if I have the money right now,
The total of the money that I have for traveling is
    $2,000 USD
I want to be on a budget, and
and my idea is to travel for two months,
and I would like to travel slowly.
which is something that I like.
so, I have to think about a place that is cheap
a place where I can budget without breaking the bank.
So, I have to explore it.
Would I able to travel to western Europe?
Would I be able to travel slowly for about
2-3 months with just $2,000 USD?
    Hmm...
It may be likely that the money will be gone quicker.
It would probably only last 2 weeks,
    3 weeks,
    for western Europe area.
    Such as France.
Even in northern areas, like Norway,
    Sweden.
The areas there in Europe can be quite pricey.
the economy there is just different.
Therefore, my travel goal of traveling for 2-3 months
    is just impossible.
I really want to travel for 2-3 months.
what would fit perfectly for my budget with that goal?
    Asia.
    NOT all Asian countries.
just some Asian countries can be pretty cheap.
such as Thailand, which is really cheap.
    India.
    Nepal.
    Malaysia.
    Indonesia.
    They're really cheap!
[The screen split into half. Stacey remains talking on the left side of the screen. On the right side of the screen, a series of clips are shown Stacey traveling in Asia and Latin America].
Most of my travel experiences have been in Asia
    because it's cheap,
it's affordable and I can be on a budget
I also have been to central America, like
    Costa Rica
    Nicaragua
    Mexico can be too.
so, these destinations fit my travel goals perfectly.
BUT if you want to travel to expensive countries,
    like western Europe,
If you really want it that badly despite being on a budget,
    you can go for it.
maybe it will last you one week
    maybe two weeks.
    maybe even just 5 days.
    it's really up to you!
    What's really important is that
    you have a budget PLAN.
as long as you've thought about what countries
which countries can fit for your budget
    In my personal opinion,
I prefer to budget my travel fund,
and then I'd spend some of them for traveling
and I still have some money left for
    whatever else in my life
including future travel trips that I can save for later.
as long I have ideal plans, I'd keep saving.
I have many more tips to explain from
the list that is just impossible for me
    to make the video short.
There are more to talk about, like
    transportation,
    accommodations,
    food,
    and attractions.
    and many more!
look forward to it in the future!

In the navy blue frame, a white text appeared on the top center: “follow or subscribe for more stories!” The logo of Facebook, Instagram, CZcams, and Twitter are also shown on the top left of the video screen with “@deafinitelywanderlust.” On the bottom center of the white frame, it says “www.deafinitelywanderlust.com”]

International (IS) actually includes a lot of ASL signs since ASL is glorified.
