- Last minute call up for Hawkstone International turned out to be a blessing!
With no real bike or off-bike fitness apart from what’s left in the tank from past years, I must admit I was a bit sceptical heading into the weekend… Hawkstone isn’t exactly easy.
But I got stuck in and had an awesome time, I loved being back on the 250 and raced pretty well. Determination took over in the second race whilst being hounded by Rizzi the whole way, he done me with 2 laps to go leaving me with a 3-2 result for 2nd overall in MX2.
Would also like to wish Ashden Barlow a speedy recovery following his accident in the 125 class, it’s never nice to see young riders in such a way - my thoughts are with Hadleigh Barlow and the family at this time.
Big thanks to Barry, Stean and Torsten for coming up to help me!
