I too have had mouse/rat problems. spent 5 hours rebuilding the wiring harness. I started turning my seat over, leaving it exposed-the rats/mice don't like it, because they are too exposed. WORKS FOR ME!
mine tends to burn the oil down or trap the oil in little pockets because it always ends up at the bottom of the cross hatches, but i do alot of wheelies and thats known to fill the breather tube and fill small pockets. ran this way forever. dont be scared if it does get low after hooning.
