As someone with borderline, its something few people understand and has massively bad stigma attached to it. If someone had a better understood illness, such as schizophrenia, I doubt the reaction would be the same. It took me almost a decade of therapy to be able to have my borderline under control. When you have borderline, it causes your feelings and emotions to literally be 10 to 100x stronger than they normally would be, which makes it impossible to think, and often creates a situation in which you do not have control. You lash out in the most cruel of ways, desperate in your desire to not be abandoned, whether perceived or real. While you are still accountable for your actions, you are at the same time not fully responsible for them either. The best thing you can do is prevent episodes, and have a good support network around you to help you stay connected and tethered to reality. DBT helps tremendously. The problem is that having a support network (which is required to be healthy) is extremely difficult, as even being friends with someone who has borderline (especially who has not had or is undergoing treatment) is hard. You will often find yourself truly alone and abandoned, which is your worst fear, and you will know that it is entirely your own fault. This can and does cause spirals in which it's hard to not give up on life, because even logically having friends or a relationship is extremely hard and can feel impossible..
I could go on and on about this, as I really wish there was more understanding of borderline, both so people can be more empathetic to people suffering from it, as well as better be able to protect themselves from it.

Hey everyone! I'm going to try to keep my response as short as possible for now. I wrote down en essay of my thoughts, but I'll share the main highlights. First and foremost, Borderline Personality Disorder is not something to bat an eye at. In extreme cases, it can be immensely difficult to deal with. The fear of abandonment it cause can and does push many people over the edge, similar to what we saw here. This is also worsened by outside influences and even can make someone more susceptible to trauma such as this. Now, for my actual stance on this... I will not condone nor have I ever condoned behavior such as this. The way all parties acted was extremely out of line. However, I firmly believe that it is NOT ok to spread hate to any single one of them. They have at the very least stated that they'd like to change and grow, and we NEED to let them do that on their own. Hating on them, and even some cases of what we think is supporting them, does not help in the slightest. In fact, in my experience, these things can backfire immensely and make an already bad situation even worse. In conclusion, don’t hate them, don’t excuse their behavior, allow them to heal in the way they see fit because that is the only way it’s possible for them to get better.

i think with all of them, we need to wait and see how they grow with their actions. but the one i'm going to be more strict with is, really, Selena and Swarm. both of them were fully in control of their actions and while none of them took accountability before being called out, Selena intentionally hid the bad things she did (thus showing she knew they were bad) and Swarm would never have even discussed his racist past unless he was called out. June i think needs professional help more than he needs to be persecuted by the internet. as someone who is best friend's with a person with BPD, while i find June's behavior awful, i find myself unable to fully blame him for it. people with BPD often have people in their social circle that are called Favorite People, and these FPs often have a lot of control over how the person with BPD sees themselves. as an FP to my friend, i do my best to NEVER use that control, full stop. i don't want to ever hurt the person i am friends with or use their mental illness against them. it is plausible, to me, that Selena may have been an FP of June's, and his actions are those of a desperate person trying to get away from someone who is abusive but who also holds a significant amount of his self esteem in their hands. June doesn't need to be persecuted or hated, he needs a therapist and he needs love and support from people who actually care about him and will be able to help him be the person that he truly is

Like literally list steps, plans of action, etc. Make it clear the types of efforts you are going to make and make it clear that there's a way for people (or the victim, particularly if it's a private apology) to actually hold you accountable and not for this stuff to get swept under the ground. You (Duke) keep saying we should give time for people to grow. No, that's just sweeping it under the rug. If they have made public f*ckups then they need to make public amendments that show they are changing. Either that or they stop being a public figure (stop being a streamer). My thing is why is anyone else getting involved? Selena shouldn't have made this a public issue in the first place. Obviously she was a big part of the cause behind this situation, but at the end of the day, it is a situation between two people. She dragged his friend into the situation and then belittled him for things he said many years ago. It highlights what a bad person she is, but beyond that, it isn't anyone else's issue or buisiness. People going online to harrass any of them or to demand apologies is silly. Just because someone is a content creator does not mean that they are required to apologize for something they've said that was not directed at the person wanting an apology, nor are they needing to feel responsible toward others when the situation didn't involve them. If anything the three people in the situation owe each other an apology, and it seems it is best that she is no longer their friends. Beyond that, it isn't something that anyone else should be getting involved with, in my opinion.

I had an ex and a few ex-friends use psychological/emotional abuse to blame another friends unalive attempt. That topic is a triggering/PTSD topic for me; so when brought on without warning, I dissociate. In doing so, I black out and am not aware of what's going on around me.
My ex and my ex-friend said because of this; I am to blame for a friends unalive attempt; because he had just without warning said he wanted to end his existence. By doing this, I dissociated/blacked out and didn't respond. That friend then left the call and apparently attempted to end their life.
Because of this; I was blamed numerous times and still to this day am told I was the soul reason for their attempt. The person in question doesn't even blame me; yet my ex and ex friend still tell everyone that associates with me; that I was the reason.
This kind of behavior is disgusting and deplorable. I wouldn't wish this on someone I truly despise. Emotional and Psychological abuse is disgusting practices and definitely need to be called out when they are attempted.

If all parties are consciously aware of what they're doing then sexualizing 1 girl vs 2 guys is out the window. They all need to seek help. As for June, my husband is a disabled veteran and even he is embarrassed and ashamed of June's actions. June's actions is the reason why veterans get tossed to the bottom of the barrel when there is a legit veteran crisis and people ignore it. This is truly embarrassing for all parties, but I'm more disappointed and disgusted with June's behavior.

Big yikes. I only have watched Swarm less than a handful of times because his vids get recommended to me. That being said I liked his stuff but I don't watch him a lot. So I have no knowledge of these events and I didn't even know Selena and Junebug existed. Just from the information in this video there a few take aways for me. And I am only speaking from the evidence in this video and the written word documents. I've been around toxic people who manipulate and do some of the things June and Selena have done to get attention or have control. I am so much happier not having that type of toxicity in my life. If anyone is trying to pull that on you...pulling you away from genuine people who care about you, isolating you, or making you feel like garbage every time you talk to them....cut them out of your life. It is hard in the moment because sometimes you feel a sense of duty to help them (if you have known them for awhile) and depending on how deep their claws are in you, you can't always see outside this bubble they have created and put you in. Swarm I feel like what put in that sense of duty to help June for example. Digging up 6 year old tweets is part of while cancel culture sucks. People say and do really stupid crap and with the internet it is documented more and more. But I also believe in paying attention to what someone has done recently. Has Swarm said any of that horrible language recently? (I don't really know because I don't watch him) If he does and there is evidence, then yes that is shitty. But if you are bringing up 6 year old tweets to get a rise and reaction I don't think that is necessarily fair. To base someone's life on something they tweeted 6 years ago. Swarm is 23? So he was around 17 when those tweets were written.... Do you know how many stupid things teen boys (and girls) say? the only difference is most are not documented. I'd say anyone in this situation deserve to have a second chance it perhaps would be him. I believe people can grow and change. Just because you say something horrible 6 years ago doesn't mean you are doing it now. Just him taking accountability shows growth in my eyes. A lot changes mentally between 17 and 23 years old. Maturity and developments has big leaps until around 28 when it slows down and things become more set in our brains. Again, I don't know if he still uses that language especially when Selena wrote that. Could be one last dig to try to discredit him and June. That being said Selena, June, and Swarm need to stop hanging out. They need to work on themselves. Selena and June both did horrible things. 2 people doing crappy things just creates more crap. That crap spreads and infects other people whether you mean it to or not. So they need to stop spending time together and get professional help.

Also using that language then exposing June knowing full well especially on the internet she will get exposed if you have done the same things.
The whole reclaiming the slurs is down right weird. Does she think it would be cool and make her look strong? I guess to some people where their disability isn't visible it won't have the same effect as someone who has a clear and visible disability.

Wow, what an utter mess this is. I don't really know Junebug, although I've heard the name. All I can say is that I feel really bad for the man. His actions were indeed horrible and inexcusable, but if he is indeed suffering from depression and other mental illnesses, then I can only imagine the anguish he must have gone through. As someone that deals with some mental health issues myself, I can tell you that it can be exhausting at times dealing with all that. Adding some toxic person to the mix just makes it worse. Again, that's not an excuse for his actions at all, but I can only hope he gets the help he truly needs and can grow as a person from all this.
As for this Selena, while she didn't deserve that treatment from June at all, I can't really feel bad for her. She just comes across as horribly manipulative and an overall toxic person.
As for Swarm, well, I never liked the guy to begin with. Almost every video or clip I've seen with him, it's just him and his SWF going out of their way to bully killers, yelling about how they got shit on, and acting like they pulled off some high skill plays when in reality, they wouldn't be able to pull off half of that crap without comms and what not. I feel like he's an overall toxic person and his "apology" was most likely the generic "I'm sorry I got caught being a piece of crap" type of apology.

I've never felt that Swarm means any of his words he's saying about the killers in his games. It's just in the moment in the match, and also a little bit of his image as a streamer. Then his community was also not much better, kinda throwing a few attacks at me in my comments like a year after I uploaded a couple videos of my encounters with him. To the point where one specific account tried twisting my words in a video of mine where I say, "I gotta kill this" when I was referring to a pallet and they spun it like I was being racist for referring to the Adam Francis character in the match as a "this." So yeah, I think he's a relatively not good person and some of his community seem to follow suit. Kinda glad people are seeing him as what I suspected 3 years ago now.

He's not a bad person😂. If you watch his streams they are relatively chill, and his community is nice for the most part. A lot can change in 3 years. I hate when people hate on somone because of one encounter. someone isn't a bad person if they make a couple mistakes.

@kazdog465 after watching this video, I'm gonna guess he hasn't exactly improved as a human being. But okay. Either way, I don't care. I just don't and won't follow the dude. If you want to support him, that's fine, but I personally don't want to.

Went back and watched your video, and they were not playing toxic at all. They were literally just playing the game as a team while you berated them with insults the entire match. If anything you were the toxic one. Really funny how you still have a hate boner after 3 years and feel the need to comment while simultaneously claiming you "don't care". Also you have no idea if the comments from the accounts a year after you posted are from Swarm's community. Honestly your own video just makes you look bad and a lot of those comments are just people pointing that out. It's crazy how people can just be so confidently wrong about a situation. Honestly you are like Selena and June in this with how you are leaving out information and bending the truth.

LOLOL I missed the end of your video. You went out of your way to message Swarm after the game to complain for your video. And even in chat messages, you were the toxic one. He told you GG, and you called him a "Class A Douchebag". Unreal.

@beebud6483 where exactly in my messages was I being toxic? And yeah, I called him that after he was starting to be one in his messages. But only within my video not directly to him, still rude of me but, you make it sound like I replied to his "GG" with that, which I didn't. I replied back with GG. But okay. I guess you're harvesting some true resentment over this, so... sorry you're hurt by a video I made that no one cares about except you?
