Alaric needs to stop talking bad about Klaus when he barely knew him. After Klaus had Hope, he changed sm in a good way. And realised something he's never thought he'd ever experience; unconditional love. It's a shame Ric keeps holding his past against him. and him (Ric) having a book "Klaus - The Great Evil" lying around in the school's library (1x01/2 and 3x01/2) isn't acceptable either bc that will affect Hope sm.
I agree but even if he got rid of that book there will always be more. It's part of history and you can't change it. Klaus may have changed but he still has a 1,000 years of death and destruction on him. I love Klaus but it still doesn't excuse what he did in the Vampire Diaries. He was one of the main villains before he got his own show so he's integral to their history. And Alaric should have said that this is your father because even though Klaus redeemed himself he still was a person who craved vengeance and that is the last thing we want Hope to be. Let her keep the good qualities of her father and show that not all mikaelsons are bloodthirsty killers
@@Odiferusthedog you’re completely right in so many aspects, but the way he talks about klaus is so obviously in a bad light- and obvious doc has seen first hand how bad klaus used to be in tvd, but he knows not only did klaus change in the end because of hope, but ignores that in favor of talking and clinging to the old image of him to the daughter klaus changed for.
the thing is, once hope grew up she knew about all the things her father did in the past but that doesn’t mean she seen him any differently. Hope changed Klaus for the good and we all know if she didn’t live he would have still been “Klaus the Great Evil”. Alaric doesn’t want Hope to turn out like Klaus (neither does she) so, that’s the only reason he even mentions him. in season 3 episode 1/2 Alaric never mentioned her dad the students did. Klaus may have been evil but don’t forget he was the original vampire from Mystic Falls and being in an all supernatural school it’s best for people to know the history of the town they live in that had supernaturals
Hope is getting closer and closer to a dangerous level almost to the point of becoming like her father and frankly I hope she does go all out about time even activating her vamp side and becoming like her aunt dahlia
Exactly and he is someone who was desperate to kill klaus and he contributed to the books and kept them in the school for everyone to read knowing who hope is, like Hope said she read them
