DIY Macrame Bucket Bag Tutorial
Hi! Welcome to my channel. In this video, you will learn how to make this bucket bag. What I like about this bag is you don't need any metal ring. So if you only have cords available, you can try this project.
Materials:
3mm braided cord: 48x 230cm / 3x 100cm / 2x 800cm
measure tape
scissors
2 elastics
felt paper
glue

Hello! Bienvenue à ma chaîne. Dans cette vidéo, vous allez apprendre à faire ce sac forme seau. Ce qui est bien avec ce sac, c'est que vous n'avez besoin d'aucun anneau. Donc, si vous avez des cordes disponible, vous pouvez directement faire ce projet.

Thank you for the tutorial! I used 3mm cord but not braided, I cut the pieces to 250cm but had to add on some cord later on, so I think 270cm would’ve worked better for me!

Oui effectivement, j'ai fais tout juste.... avec 30 cm supplémentaires. Si je le fais à nouveau, j'ajouterai 1m supplémentaire pr chq corde.
Des que j'ai fini, je le poste 😉
En fait, il est petit, j'ajouterai ds ce cas, 1 rangée supplémentaire et un peu plus de corde. Ça sera mieux.

L'utiliser en cache pot va très bien aussi 😁 c'est même une bonne idée! J'ai d'autres modèles de sac qui sont un peu plus grand si jamais 😉 et concernant mes fils, ils viennent de chez LovelyCottons.

И еще часто мотки продают по 100м, а на эту сумку нужно около 130 м.
Скорее всего вместо длинной ручки я буду использовать цепочку с карабинами
I'd love to make this bag but wanted to make it a bit wider. I saw that when you're making the base you divide the cords into groups of 4 (12 cords each). Do you think it would work to add another two groups (24 more cords) to make the bag wider? Thank you for making this really detailed and clear tutorial! :)
Hi! I haven't tried to make this bag bigger yet but yes it's correct, if you want to make it bigger, you need to add 24 cords.

Tentarei fazer com 24 fios também. Creio que o que muda é a quantidade de fios usados (já que usaremos um fio mais grosso) e talvez o tamanho dos fios também, mas farei seguindo as medidas do tutorial pra não correr o risco rsrs

Bonjour Emily, merci pour votre commentaire et vos compliments 🥰 J'ai utilisé des cordes tressées de 3mm, je n'ai jamais utilisé des cordes plus fines pour un sac donc je ne pourrai pas vous dire... Les longueurs des pelotes sont toutes différentes selon les marques mais j'ai utilisé au total quasi 130m de cordes. Je vous conseille de couper vous cordes un peu plus longues pour avoir une marge d'erreur (pour certaines personnes, les longueurs mentionnées étaient trop courtes).

Superbe je veux le commencer mais je ne trouve pas la corde qui ira suffisamment bien pour moi. J'ai une corde trop plate et de 2.5mm ça se tiens assez mal. J'ai bien vu la boutique lovely cottons mais je ne sais pas si ils livrent en Belgique

Can you make this with 3 strand Twisted cord?
I have never tried working with 3 strands cord but for sure you can use it... the result might not be exactly the same. Try to cut the cords a bit longer just to be sure.

Can you use single strand cord macrame cotton cord instead of braided cord for this bag?
Hi! Yes you can use any cords. Make sure to cut your cords longer just to be sure.

Thank you! Yes of course, you just need to adapt your cords' lengths. And I think 5mm would be a better choice than 2mm.

Hi, I am turning the tutorial but cords are getting too short and I don’t know if there will be enough to finish it. Any tips?
I cut the correct size 230
The same happened to me. I had to knot in about 6-10 extensions. I'm making it again now and measured 250 this time.
250 worked perfectly for my not so stretchy cord and 240 for cord with a little more give to it.
Thank you for your comment, it might help others. I'm always putting the cords' lengths that works for me but unfortunately doesn't always work for everybody.

Bonjour, je n'ai jamais utilisé du 1,5mm pour un sac. Il va vous falloir énormément de patience car ce sera 2x plus long à faire qu'avec des cordes de 3mm. Pour les mesures, c'est un peu difficile à dire... cordes plus courtes mais il faudrait rajouter en quantité pour adapter la taille finale du sac.

Thank you so much 🥰 I had several feedback saying that the cords was a bit too short for them. It worked for me as it is but i recommend you cut a bit longer than i mentioned in the video just to be sure. Have fun with this project 😊
