no he was/is dealing with some pretty bad mental health disorders. that doesn't excuse his actions but it's not correct to say he's "just an asshole" although he definitely is also an asshole.

Venturian tale was the saddest downfall as the vids were stupid but fun seeing a family having fun. Sad that it wasn’t genuine.

I made this channel in 2007 and have been active on here ever since. I use to talk to a lot of these people. Way back in the day we use to be able to Message each other and leave comments on each others channels. One day out of nowhere CZcams got rid of those features and I lost all contact with most of them. God I’m old I even remember when Facebook launched and you could only access it with a college email. Great video!
I feel so sad they took away messaging, so many people I'll never get to talk to again.

We've moved in together and have kids now, it's wild how much he was a part of our entertainment for so long, we stopped watching for a bit and when I remembered his channel we started watching again and the news broke like a week or so later. Absolute mind fuck for us both.

honestly i think half the reason all the OG youtubers stop getting views is because we all grew up.. we all grew up and found other youtubers that made content we liked at that time and so on. same thing now, we’re most likely not gonna be watching the youtubers we watch now in 5 years, and the youtubers are probably not gonna be making content anymore and just focus on life its self. We will find new things to watch and like in 5 years.
That's part of it, the other part is a lot of the OG CZcamsrs were "edgy" considered offensive these days.

GradeAunderA has a Maths degree and was planning on becoming a teacher but he didnt like his mentors teaching methods and so didnt use them causing his mentor to fail him preventing him from being a teacher. Thats why he went into CZcams full time. Dont know what he's doing now but he's probably got enough to not have to work again

I don't have any attachment to the Venturian Tale channel but I was in a similar situation as Bethany and hearing her talk about it broke my heart. I am so glad that she is away from those abusive people but I can only imagine how much it had to hurt. I hope she finds peace and happiness and love that she was denied as a child

Bart Baker actually quitted Douyin last year , his account no longer exist. See , the reason he was viral was because of his English translation of Chinese songs , but he suddenly started filming other type of videos like skits. His video started to take a big dip , likes and views were dropping.

Cryaotic is so depressing for me since I watched him during my high school years. I did stop around 2010 to 2011 because of my disinterest in gameplay channels. But Cry always had a special place when it comes to my childhood. Knowing what he became and what he did. It's hard to fathom. He deserved his downfall for betraying his friends and hurting so many. Hope he never comes back.

From what Grade says in his videos, he is a secondary school teacher. So its safe to assume that considering that his videos are pretty explicit, after his face being leaked he was likely approached by the school and asked to stop making videos and so he went cold Turkey. Or its likely that he was approached to work a higher payer job in education; and decided to go silent on social media and youtube from the risk of his new employers discovering his account and not wanting to be associated with him.

The cryoatic thing breaks me every time. He was one of the youtubers I watched during a really dark episode of my life and I found comfort in his videos. Every now and then I visit some of his videos trying to feel the comfort again but I can´t. It´s just... I think about the good memories he gave me while being in my personal internet world far away from real life and they straight up get destroyed because I have to think about the bad things he did. It´s like visiting the house you used to live in but things changed and it doesn´t feel the same. Idk... I always feel sad when I hear his name and my good mood is gone. Is that weird?
Cry's streams were a huge part of my highschool/after hs years and it's so weird he just doesn't exist on the internet anymore. I tried showing up to every late night w Cry & Russ stream. I was so shocked hearing what happened.

I am glad you addressed the other part of your audience that didn't consider these creators OGs. I joined CZcams on my other account in 2007 and as influential as these 2016 CZcamsrs were and still are they weren't really around when I joined the platform. I consider ShayCarl, Nigahiga, Smosh, DaveDays, CommunityChannel, DaxFlame, LisaNova, LivaLavaLive, Shane Dawson, Fred and those creators the OGs. If you want to cover an older topic not many have covered, I recommend looking into one of the first gatherings of CZcamsrs called the 789 Gathering in NY. I am not sure what type of things you'll uncover about it, but it might be worth a look.
A lot of the OGs still make videos though, so it's a bit harder to do a video on those types sadly. Then again some of them also had drama so maybe it could work, the problem with the real OGs is CZcams wasn't that popular in 2007, there was only a handful of us that used it in school, the OGs definitely brought in the viewership but most users won't really know much about them unless they're still active now

I really still can't believe what happened with Tobuscus, I used to worship the ground that man walked on and he was my OG first massive CZcamsr that I watched Non-Stop. After the allegations I was hoping things could go back to a semblance of normalcy but he just kind of started doubling down on who he REALLY was, after that I moved on to Markiplier being my big CZcamsr but I still take everyone including him with a grain of salt, because you never know.
The women who accused him just look like women to falsely accuse and scam simps to get gucci bags
Also tobuscus is a big anti masker, and I think he fell down the alt right pipeline.
