I feel like they've gotten away to the analyst thrust in to dangerous situations to more of a James Bond feel. It's still enjoyable, but not how I thought of Jack Ryan. (Admittedly I say this as someone who has never read any of the books).

I Worked one day on the movie Its Complicated as a stand in and John was the friendliest actor on that set. Went out of his way to introduce himself to me which was very cool considering I had been binge watching the office with my gf at the time. He definitely didn’t need to do that. Great dude. Great memory.
He was also definitely the best part of that movie and like the only reason I even remember watching it. His delivery of every line he has is spot on and so funny! Love this guy!
Similar sorry..was a photo double on his new movie now in production. Nicest dude ever! Thanked me multiple times for being there.

That’s such a cool story! That’s a habit that Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey have spoken about having been cultivated by Steve Carell as the big star on the set of The Office. I love to hear a pay it forward story and nothing beats when our heroes outlive our expectations. Thanks for sharing!
@@jamiemorales2966 When I did stand in work I got to meet many of my heroes. Most actors are very nice people thankfully, but very rarely do they talk to stand ins or extras. I was Hunter Parrish stand in on that movie but John is the only actor that talked to me. Hunter shook my hand and was nice too but John talked to all the stand ins. With that being said actors are usually focusing on their craft so they don’t really need to talk to anyone. I have a lot of stories but it’s not my place to keep rambling. If I ever make it as an actor and have an interview on this show maybe I can tell more stories.
Why is John Krasinski so adorable? I love him. No matter how old he gets, how serious the role he plays or how successful he becomes he always has the same sweet boyish personality. The way he descends into giggles so easily, his sweet fidgety nature and the way he claps when he finds something funny or entertaining.

Man, I just love him and Emily. I just had my Mom watch a Quiet Place and now she wants to watch the second one and she loves Jack Ryan. We just watched The English as well. I was with my folks helping deal with some health issues, so good bonding time.
And on that day, the person representing the production insurance company had a heart attack 😢
No kidding! They probably had nightmares about drowning actors and manslaughter charges against Navy Seals for months.

That is incredible that him getting thrown from the helicopter was somewhat improvised--however I feel sad because I don't think the stunt people get paid if their footage isn't used in the show. If pay for stunt people has changed since I heard that rule I would love to be updated.
wait what? i don't think that's true at all. there are unions for a reason
They get paid, they just won't get residuals unless their footage makes the cut. But on a show like that, he probably has a core group of guys that do all his stunts. So I'm sure they'll be OK

Your not missing much. It’s a bit too sympathetic towards the CIA. Season 2 actually had script consultations from the agency and it made the whole thing feel too creepy for my liking. It was like paid propaganda
Season one is okay, season 2 _completely_ jumps the shark. Krasinski is the only redeeming quality in the show.
Season 2 is horrible. CIA overreach on a South American nation leading to something good is pure fantasy.
