Worth $250,000? | 2023 Range Rover SV - One Take

  • It's all about the details. Does the all-new Range Rover have enough tech, leather, and luxury to compete with the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Bentley Bentayga?
This is not a simple model refresh. There's a new unibody that's 35% stiffer. The suspension uses a 48 volt stabilizer system and GPS to improve handling. A variety of engines- including an upcoming plug-in hybrid- feed power through a buttery 8-speed transmission.
But propulsion is only a piece of the puzzle. If you want to take money away from Rolls and Bentley, you need fancy things. This Range Rover SV LWB (long wheelbase) has them. It starts at $218,000 but just three options push this one over $250k. That said, a base Rover starts at $104k, comes with a 400HP twin-charged inline-6, and still has the gorgeous shape of the blue blood models.
    Is it worth it?
    #cars #rangerover #SUV
Note: Land Rover's Press Release refers to this as the 2022 Range Rover but their configurator site calls it a 2023.

Great review! I've had my new 7 seater about 2 weeks. It's great in every way. Zero complaints in the first 1500 miles. I literally feel more relaxed after my drive when I get where I'm going. My 6th Range Rover. My n=1 in all that ownership was 2 mechanical problems, none ever left me stranded. 4.6 P38 had electronic gremlins but was a joy to drive. Water pump blew on my 2003 HSE. No way am I rich enough to pay $250k for the SV though. The 6 banger 7 Seat SE is plenty luxury for me. It's an all weather luxury commuter and might see a couple ranch roads but certainly no "off road." I'll leave that to my 232k miles 100 series Land Cruiser.

@@TheSmokingTire Usually 2-3 years. I've had a mix of straight Used, CPO with warranty and New. Some leased, some bought. All business expensed. I like this new one the best and with the 4 year warranty, that's likely how long I'll keep it. I agree with your review of the ride. I have the 23s because I like how they look and don't hit a lot of rough pavement but I kept a set of 21s for trips to the mountains and they are nice and cushy. Other reviews have pointed out that the weight of the V8 up front on 23s makes it worse. So again, very happy with the 6 cylinder.
