Boston fan here, while I fully agree that booing Kyrie is corny and old, and that he is 100% a changed man from when he was on the team, we need to realize the boos are not just because he said he would resign and didnt. Towards the end of kyries time on the celtics was a punk and didnt care (not saying he is now, hes not deserving of the hate at this point) He didnt really care to put in the effort after coming back from his injury and didnt really want anything to do with the franchise. He didnt want to talk in interviews and didnt take accountability. He was already starting to be disliked by the entire fanbase prior to not resigning. Then he ended up doubling down and trying to become the villain when he was on the nets (Stomping on the celtics logo and flipping off the fans giving into all the negativity)
At this point its so far in the past and he's clearly changed and improved for the better. Hes 100% a different player and a different man. But let's not act like he's just being booed cause he didnt resign.
