It’s the manga cover art colors and it is beautiful
I still remember lucking out with 2011 Goku a few years back. Got one without a box for $280 back in 2019, and I still have him. He could use a bit of floor polish or something like that since he's loosened up over time, but he's still in pretty good shape for almost being 12 years old at this point.
When I have a lot of the$150-$200 figures, but would have a hard time parting with them, probably part of why people want them.
Nice! I didn’t know some of these had gotten so pricey. Scouter Vegeta 2.0 especially surprised me, I know the original Scouter Vegeta was crazy expensive before the 2.0 came out. Makes me wonder why they haven’t done a repaint in his “first appearance” color similar to the 1.0 you showed in this video.
Good stuff, very informative. I’m not surprised so many limited releases and con exclusives are so expensive, it’s insane haha.

Maybe you should think in doing a video about those rare or expensive SH Figuarts (Like all of the Ranma 1/2 line, Boruto, Kochikame, the Rocket team and Ash from Pokemon, and so on)
I'm thinking of getting LSSJ Broly to go with my Custom Movie 8/Movie 10 Broly figure. Only problem is he's damn near $500 aud. Should I go for it or get the model kit?
The SDCC Based Form Goku is my dream figure. Til now I still can't have him but I am still in awe everytime I saw him. I really prefer the v1 aesthetic.
So regarding that mexico goku (guessed right so yay), it goes for more than the 2011 sdcc for sure and is harder to find especially in good condition. Main difference aside from box is also the serial number on it, was told this by another fan. The other goku that released was SDCC and this was exclusive to a con in Mexico. Another thing is that many of these were actually opened on their way to the states by customs, so finding a NIB would def be a grail. I remember this used to go for about $150 a while back and I lucked out in getting one for about $120 along a SS 2.0 Vegeta.
I have two out of three of the Broly. Original with a hole in the box from previous owner & in unopened box 2016 exclusive lol.

the good news is those top 5 arn't even that good of figures and theres way better alternatives that exist. (unless you count Full Power Super Broly as a completely different character than Z Broly). I can't believe Awakening warrior Goku is going for that much considering his availability over the years, but I guess it makes sense since it's representative of the top moment in the entire series and the first figure you want to have to start a collection with(at least it was for me).

I think two of the rarest, though they may not command the highest price, are the Clone Goku and Cell Shell. I've met some collectors that didn't even know those two figures existed.
Idk i feel like the rarest/priciest figure out of my 27ish figure collection is M.U.i Goku,heavy arms kiryu(godzilla),awakening warrior even exclusive Goku (Got it yesterday) full power Broly,ssb vegeta (broly) and ssb gogeta, i also have the ssj2 goku exclusive that should be worth a lot 😂
It sucks we haven’t gotten a proper update or do-over of Cell Saga Gohan (not counting the battle damaged version) cuz we rlly don’t have any good version accessible right now except for the manga version which is an atrocious looking figure

I’ve seen that SDCC Super Saiyan Goku sell for $1150 at a local comic book/collectible store.
They sell other figures for retail prices, but this one.. yikes.

At the time I was actually looking to collect the Frieza Saga version of Goku I don't know where it's really from but yeah I got that one actually with the one that has is logo on his Gi I believe it says KingKi logo to back and front

I don’t have any of these and they don’t look interesting for me except for that Goku with Purple and Blue colors but the articulation is horrendous compared to todays.
I only have the 2016 SDCC Broly. It's one of my favorites in my collection.
i see full power broly for 80€, prblem is i already got the new super broly recently and with comming economical collapse i know that i will not find someone to sell later on

They do need to make 3.0 of awakened warrior Goku and I’m sure at some point they give us an update since he’s gotten very expensive

No more reissues, why make another arlia vegeta and fuck up the value. It's an exclusive for a reason right???? If not, what's the point??? It's no longer exclusive. Might as well not even put that title on it
For people who missed out the first time or just to have an updated version of that Vegeta since the 1.0 is the older body mold
@DareDevil 19 yeah but it devaluates the fig I bought so the og collectors like me get screwed because we paid several hundreds for these figures. So it's kinda like screw us....... and again, it's no longer an exclusive anymore. What would be exclusive about it if they keep reissueing them??? I'm not saying screw the new collectors but at the same time by reissueing them you are saying screw the loyal long term collectors. Just saying, look at both sides of the coin. Say you pay 400 for vegeta and now it gets re-released a week later and now it's only worth 100. That wouldn't upset you????
Trust me! I’ve spent PLENTY on figures that I shouldn’t of, especially exclusives. Even if they made a first appearance 2.0 Vegeta, it most likely wouldn’t devalue the original cause it’s still the original and first, but giving an updated version would be cool, cause that’s still the old body and you should know how TN works by now. They always do repaints and eventually they will do another first appearance Vegeta, it’s bound to happen cause they have track records of always doing that. Whether it’ll be a regular or exclusive. You’re pretty much saying you don’t want an updated version of this figure because it light devalue the original. Which I understand, but still. Wouldn’t you, as a collector want an updated 2.0 or 3.0 first appearance Vegeta?Who knows maybe they’ll never do it. But I would like an updated version of that first appearance Vegeta. I don’t want the 1.0 body so I won’t go on but the current version and for people who have the original, you will still have a rare figure. A SDCC will never go super low in value, it’ll always keep some sort of value to it cause of that SDCC sticker on the box

@DareDevil 19 I personally would but it might also be because I'm not one to display the sdcc figs. So I guess It doesn't matter if it has updated articulation and let's be honest. The shading has only gotten worse. Lol.
