Yeah most Lego games are set like this anyway. I believe the only Lego game where the environment was fully made out of legos is Lego worlds.

This looks so good, I can’t believe we are getting a dedicated game within a game. As I got older, playing with Legos was less enjoyable but I have always been fond of them. Lego games are always a good time but I always wanted a game with a bit more creative freedom for legos. I never played that Lego world game or any of the Lego City games but this looks like EXACTLY what I was thinking of as a kid. I’m now 29 and this trailer gets me so hyped for this game mode 😂 Minecraft in Fortnite with Legos LETS GOOOO

Because if they leaked ahead of time that they had no original ideas left and were just ripping off Minecraft the whole time, they would have had to put the whole project to rest.

they have added a few packs for stw this week and there was an Easter egg for stw in the event so they might actually be giving it some attention hopefully. It’s more than they usually do anyway lol it’s basically abandoned

Hearing this from a popular game like this is bringing me back my nostalgic days when I was a little kid playing LEGOs. I used to own the LEGO Mixels collection, played The LEGO Movie videogame and loved watching movies in LEGO style. And now, I can play them on Fortnite until it comes out tomorrow. I can't wait to get the minifigures of LEGO Fortnite when it comes out in stores.

The animation is so smooth and satisfying to watch, props to the animating team
As someone who really hasn't played Fortnite since the OG season 1 to 4 days, seeing all this stuff happening is super overwhelming, but it's super cool. I remember when Fortnite didn't even have a single colab and they were just running off the skins they made themselves, pretty crazy to think about.
In 6 years of Fortnite I have never expected Lego to finally be here in 2023, 6 years later, at them time I started. It's incredible to see how far Fortnite has become with It's huge popularity and now that lego is here now it's gonna get a whole lot more populated. I can't wait to play the lego mode with my friends I have been waiting for this since Chapter 5 started and before that when the leaks were released. As a kid who loved playing with legos and building this is going to bring back parts of my childhood, thank you Fortnite.

This looks and sounds really fun. I recently played the new LEGO Star Wars and fell in love with the open world, so I’m excited to see what this is like!
Really? I thought the Skywalker saga was lego’s worst attempt at an open world with City Undercover being their best attempt.
I found that since it was linked closely to the movies that already have an attached narrative that it got in the way more and detracted from the iconic story missions. Complete Saga felt like a better star wars game for its narrative thanks to the tight and excellent level design. Skywalker Saga’s level design felt weak to me as the game was more focused on scale then clever solutions.
This game makes me think of what the MMO Lego Universe could have been. A friend hosted a private server of the game recently and it is truly a shame the game died out when it did.

@@astroborne I never finished that game nor did I think it was good, but the level design did have more creativity and variety then the Skywalker saga.
The character abilities were more unique and varied which lead to more interesting game design and puzzles. All the character abilities in the Skywalker saga are cut down versions from that game.
I feel like that game just gets more hate because its based on the awful sequel trilogy and the Skywalker saga is based on movies people actually like. Its also the predecessor to one of the most popular and nostalgic lego games ever made so I feel like that also gives the game a rose tent.
My first lego game was lego star wars complete saga. Im glad im able to witness a open world lego fortnite game

You can tell that this house 1:02 is the same wooden house as this house 1:26 because of the windmeel in the back, the water well, and the crops are all there and in the same place. It really shows how the LEGOS evolved their building!

I am unbelievably excited to play this game mode after seeing the trailer. The maps are so diverse and it reminds me a lot of Minecraft but instead it’s a mix of my favorite toy brand and my favorite game. This is awesome! 🔥
