- Join us, the curbside Junkies, dumpster divers of CZcams! And tonight's video we will be holding a live auction and this auction we have a bunch of glass antiques and collectibles that will be going up for sale. Even though this isn't a dumpster diving video please feel free and join us for a source of entertainment, as it always is fun! All of the items shown in tonight's video was picked from thrift stores and antique stores alike!
This video and another were utube recommended to me. I put it on the TV so my husband and I could watch together. The first thoughts that went through our minds were not nice ones! We could not believe anyone would dumpster dive for food! Then of course having run our local food pantry for 5 years we could not believe so much good food was tossed out instead of given to a food pantry! As we continued to watch we were dumb founded at the amount of food that was in these dumpsters, like the 36 cases of green tea. The chocolate in the other video really shocked me, I know how much that brand costs! We were also saddened that anyone in our country would need to do this to obtain food.
This video and another changed every negative thought. How blessed your community is have you! That blessing box is the most awesome idea I have seen yet in dealing with feeding the proud and poor. No paper work, erc..all of that entrusted to God! No locks, no limits. This has encouraged us to start the same thing here. While we are in a sparsely populated area, the need is great. These type of items are never given in food pantries .We don't have but a very few dumpsters here ...however a dollar store is.
Due to pressing matters;, it would be a a couple of months. We fulley intend to have this available by summer. Thank you so much for the beautiful idea and videos explaining this. May God bless and protect you!!
I grew up very very poor..But today i am a Business woman. I am 65..But if we had dumpsters here i would do the same as you..Keep for myself and donate..God bless and keep yo safe. xx

Brought back memories of my dad when I saw your hubby in t-shirt and shorts even though it is cold. My dad wore a blue under vest and shorts all year round. Didn't matter even in winter. Loving the garden beds, you should keep an eye out for some of the fresh produce in the dumpsters and use that to stock your garden 🙂 some things like tomatoes, potatoes, some lettuce can grow form the base, pumpkins, spring onions, cucumbers, peppers, chili’s etc etc. you could fill your whole garden with fresh produce that you sourced from the dumpster 👍🏻
A good adjustable head lamp will make 2 available to look through all that good stuff in the dumpster. Good haul.
And stop waving the camera 🎥 it is annoying 👎

Great haul y’all. I believe out of all the Aldi stores, they toss away 4 tons of bananas each month. Most still look fantastic. It’s crazy. Where we live bananas went from .42 cents a pound to .72.. in one week. Not counting all the other items they toss away. I absolutely hate to see good items go to waste. Meat is so expensive, gas, everything has almost doubled & tripled. What a tea score. Thank u guys for all y’all do for your community..

Another great score!! The garden looks amazing and I love all the decorations!! The boys did a fabulous job on their gingerbread houses. Adam, I have to say I agree we do all love the dogs but I disagree with as much as you all do because we all know no one loves the dogs as much as Sracy does. 💕 As always 👍🏻 🙏 ❤️

So glad that you guys are able to rescue everything that you can rescue help the people that are unfortunate that can't get any extra help from the state and you guys step in and do what you can by putting those food boxes together for people in that food pantry thing that is so awesome congratulations two thumbs up keep up the wonderful work

Good morning Adam and Stacy love the garden I need to do this. And the boys did awesome job making them. Great haul green tea is good for you I drink it every day hot green tea with little honey . It’s cold here 26 out high 29 with snow showers this morning 😔. So glad you’re saving all the food and sharing. I’m trying to help my daughter with food she works but her boyfriend of 13 years is off in the winter . Thank you for sharing have a great day 😊❤️

That Italian dressing is the best to marinate briskets and roast even steaks. Then cover with tinfoil and back at a low temperature my goodness at the tenderness and the flavors that pop. It is awesome!!!!!❤

Not trying to rub it in, but it's hard for me to imagine the very cold weather you are having and in Glendale,, Arizona we have been 80/81 for the past couple of days and will stay like that until probably Wednesday and Thursday of next week. My husband took four of those plant, food grade white containers cut the bottoms off and filled them with dirt and manure and grows more than we can use veggies. First year we had a garden was over an acre,I picked over 4 5 gallons of tomatoes a day. I canned over 100 quarts of green beans about 50 quarts of black eyed peas and can’t remember how much we gave away!! But I’m not able to work like that now days!!!

Great haul, and your garden is beautiful, lots of great produce to come.
Potatoe flakes can be handy to stretch a meatloaf or give a baked casserole a thicker and hardy texture. If you are making potatoes salad and you added too much mayo or dressing. Add the potatoes flakes and they will hydrate by using the mayo/ dressing, side-benefit the flakes will give creamy mashed potatoes look and mouthfeel. Noticed you folks passing on the salad bags. Coleslaw ones can also be used in one-pot meals. Browned pork chops or ground beef go well with cabbage. When the meat is nearly done put in the coleslaw veggies. They contain cabbage and carrots when pan-fried would take to whichever spices or sauces you might add to them.

In your garden if you have moles where you live on each corner put a pole with a can on it so it means on it it'll keep them out

The artificial tree could take any tree stand you find. Please help us know what "cold" is in Texas maybe tell us the weather? (I guess you did after dark, lol) In NY state we have had icy roads and school closings. Food for thought, Italian dressing can be used as a marinade for chicken and other meats to barbeque or in the oven.

Put chicken pieces in a baking dish and drizzle the Italian dressing over the top and bake it. The chicken will come out tender and so juicy.

It's called liquid expansion. When liquid freezes, the liquid expands. It's ok for juices to drink after thawing, but not so great for dairy products except for butter. Other dairy products it will spoil after thawing.😊
Once u start drinking that tea, u will like it. What’s good about tea is that it last a long time cause there’s no fizz to it.
